Ive been playing golf for 46 yrs and ive had more lip outs in the last two weeks than ive had in all those  46 yrs.  A 2 ft putt can not hit the lip of  the cup and make a complete 360 degree turn on a real golf course, but it can here.  The game is lots of fun to play for fantasy and i enjoy it.  It is very frustrating to be having a good round going and have the ball lip out.  Then their is the issue of the meter stopping and starting and fluttering like a butterfly . And last  of all is the forgiveness days in the putter are gone too.  You hit the mark and the ball goes in a predetermined direction.  WGT please do something to correct these issues.   Stop all he new awards and fix what needs to be fixed.  If this can not be done then make  an award for lip outs.

    Just venting a little frustration.

I've seen 100 balls make a 360 degree turn and not go in in real life, so don't even try to pull that card.

As for the frequency of lipouts, I agree, it seems to happen a lot more often than in real life. I've talked with many people about it and we've come to the conclusion that the hole in WGT is just a little bit smaller than in real life, and if you look at it in comparison to the golfer and the course, it is.

Golf balls do lip out on the course.  I watched 4 or 5 of my putts do that yesterday on the course.  If you play real golf much, you will notice that lip outs happen much more often as the green speed increases, watch the PGA tour and see what I mean.  At the WGT we are playing on greens with very fast green speed and you will see more lip outs when you have those conditions.  Also what TLD said looks correct to me as well, I don't understand the programming, etc. but the hole looks about 10% smaller than it should be compared to the pin, clubs, players, balls, etc.  This maybe factored in so that you can't putt as well on WGT as on TWO which allows you to make every putt you attempt from inside 75 feet.

    I don't think so, Heels.

I think it's just an issue that they didn't predict early on. For a game that correctly simulates so many realistic aspects of the real game, it's highly unlikely that they would do something like that.

However, when you look at the hole when compared to the ball, it's quite a noticeable bit smaller than it should be. Have a look at this picture:

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe a modern golf hole is 4.25 inches across and a modern golf ball is [by requirement] 1.68 inches in diameter. This means that you would have enough room to fit two golf balls side by side into the hole along with some extra room, which is often seen when you have two balls and a pin in the hole.^^

However, with the size of the holes in WGT, this would never be possible. An early modeling error? Most likely.

Just a little update on the lip outs,  just played 18 holes and had 6 lip outs 5 which were for bird.  Really sad that WGT can't do something to fix this small bug in the game.

Are you sure? I can't recall ever seeing two balls in a cup where they were both on the bottom. LOL-sure going to look this Sunday when I go out. Usually one of them is resting above the other but by your picture you could probably get 2 more in that cup.

Do courses use different cup sizes or are the cups supposed to be an exact size?

Every time i lip out IRL or on this game its because i have hit the ball on the edge of the cup and its traveling to fast. i blame me not WGT for this.

Cups are the exact size and depth.  2 balls would fit sit by side since balls are less than 2 inches and the hole is over 4
