  I echo your sentiments, Happy Thanksgiving. As an Aussie also currently living in NZ, I do celebrate thanksgiving - a hangover from my days spent in the US. So bring on the Turkey and trimmings and my favorite, pumpkin pie!

  Have a safe and Happy Thanksgiving with your families, and spare your thoughts and prayers for those in the services who cannot be home.

  For all my friends/colleagues in Singapore - have a great bash at the American Club!

  OK someone please tell me what the Pilgrims have to do with Thanksgiving ?

  We have a harvest thanksgiving in UK which is all about giving thanks for a bountiful crop from the fields.

  Sod all to do with Pilgrims, who were probably English anyway.

  I still think turkey is better eaten at Christmas time, and even then it is barely acceptable.

  A 10 kilo frozen Butterball - Yuck.
