Thanks to this whole "try any club you want" stuff, I now have a new 3 wood, new irons, a new putter, and a LOT less credits then I started this weekend with. It's ridiculous that WGT does this stuff without thinking of the effects it will have on a person's psychy, not to mention their credit stash. Shame on WGT for this atrocity and the mental wounds it could have and probably has inflicted on countless individuals. What's next, half price golf balls, free trial putter pals, discounts on anything else that isn't a club? Is there no end to this madness?

Seriously, thank you, WGT. I had been debating a new putter for a while, with no clear-cut winner, but, after trying them, the decision was so much easier to make. The other upgrades just kind of happened. LOL My inventory had more stuff in it then a hoarder's garage. Thanks again.

Since I signed up into WGT, about one year and five months ago, this was my first free rental weekend that I was fully aware of.

I free-rented all the clubs I was feeling curious about.  Played as much as I could to only realize that I already had the ones that work the best for me.

I am still trying the X putter and it might be my only purchase if I see a true benefit to my game, but so far I can not complain about this opportunity of using all the new toys for free.

Might it just be a sales strategy ? Of course it is but I didn't come across any obligation of purchasing the tested items.  So, I have to disagree with the OP, when read :

Now, I can state that English is my second language, so deep down I have a feeling that I must be simply missing the point of a great and sharp post with mere good humor an a little pepper here, which I love (humor).  So, again, respect to the author of this thread, and my humble statement of true enjoyment of my first free-rent weekend in WGT, guilt free, the same way I passed the "Black Friday" without spending one cent too ..... so far ... ;)

    Cheers !

I've been debating swapping out my Ping Tour W wedges for the CG's but didn't really notice much difference between them.  But, at least I got to try them.  I'm not buying high dollar balls just to get a real benefit if that's what is needed so it's not a big deal.

This is exactly the same as me. I tried the clevelands and didn't notice much difference at all. Golf balls is the only equipment that will currently take my game to the next step quickly, but I don't want to spend that much money on something that doesn't last.

True, the lower level CGs are nothing special. However, when you try the ones for 900 credits, it's a whole new ball game. You're best advised not to put ANY additional back spin on the ball, cause it'll roll 15 yards back. And you actually need to put full top spin on the ball, if you want it to stop dead, cause it rolls back about 2 yards with no added spin.

Same here Frapp.  I rented the R11S Driver and R11S3W.  Not that much different from the non-S D &3W to justify taking roughly $30 from my wallet.  I also rented the Max Control (master) putter twice.  I really really like the 10, 20, 30, 40, 60,80,100, 200, 300 scales.  Not putting great with it so I'm giving it another day.  Still, is it worth $25 over my current Daytona?

I think the Max is a good putter Andy....but your at 51% one putt%..not sure $25 putter is going to help all that much + you have to spend a week or 2 mapping it out. I'm just about the same stats as you......don't know if it would save me 2 putts a round or not. If you buy it let us know what you think.

Great opinions here.  i will throuw all my clubs out, & the onliest and best combo i saw here on this weekend are the:       Max Clubs with Starter Balls.

Than i need a special stroposkope light, eat speed pills in a row and coffee entravenously  in conclusion.

The resüme is, im happy to have my old G20 Clubs back. And im thinking about the ATV Wedges. Thats all.
