I'd like to know why a ball that I purchased (last ball of the three) is taken out of play after I hit it onto the green on the first hole of a game. I didn't go into the water or lose the ball any other way so why was it taken out of play. It certainly doesn't make me want to purchase anything else for fear of that being taken away also.

Then run out of of usage life. You can tell by looking at the balls condition on the game screen

thanks for that info - I had no idea. I guess the free WGT balls must be made of titanium - they never wear out.....LOL

I really think they need to explain ball's life more clearly,
I see a surge in those type of questions lately.

There you have it. That's how people feel when they find out balls wear. Common. How realistic is that, but ok, I complained enough about them far too expensive balls....that wear as well.

I was wondering the same question, now I know, I came here in the hope of playing a realistic game, and their you have it, cannot get more realistic than a ball wearing out after a certain number of shots can you.

Cheer's and Kudo's for the explanation.

I have one other question, since were talking about realism, can I take it the ball lying below or above your stance on the fairway will go left or right, and does it make no difference with your stance if the ball is either, when using a L/w or 64degree, or s/w. Can someone tell me if I can get a 2 wood instead of a 3 wood, or a 12 degree Driver, instead of a 9 degree driver, I take it the default is a 9 ?.

I also noticed I have a spare empty box with my equipment is that for a golf bag or something else.

    Many Thanks.

How much more clear can they make it?

Maybe WGT could force new players to read the FAQs and pass a test before they are allowed to play. lol.

What is the ball durability limit?

Each ball can only be used for a limited number of shots. The number of hits will be tracked and displayed on the swing interface in the game under the HITS meter. This will give you an estimate of how many hits you have left with that ball. Putts are not counted as a hit to the ball unless the putt is a mulligan. If it is a mulligan then two hits will be deducted from the durability.

Only if you choose the Uneven Lie game option.

Otherwise the game plays as if you and the ball are on level ground regardless what the photo realistic scene on your display shows.

As Apex said, no difference in any of these situations under "even lies" condition. The avatar "will always take the right position for the swing", no real chance of shot shaping.

There's a difference though in very steep uphill situations, e.g. the false green fronts at STA #5 or KIA #7. There, the ball flight may be unreliable.

You see the woods, Drivers, 3WDs, Hybrids, nothing else.

A look into your own inventory might have shown you that the Starter Driver's loft is 10.5°. Alas, this doesn't mean a thing - only the programmed characteristics of the clubs do count, not the marketing bluster of the real-world companies.

    Yes.

The only stand bag available in the Flash game today (dunno about the mobile apps) conforms perfectly to it's Pro Shop specification: It does nothing, except of standing on the tee in all it's uglyness (or fly around as it did in the beginning). IMHO, it's a waste of 400 cr.

Displaying the actual number of hits left would be one way. This has been discussed before but maybe it's a business decision to avoid showing the actual number of hits you start with, which could be a disincentive to buy (esp. for higher priced balls).
