  Have WGT given thought to having a Golden Oldies Tier or competition.And how about creidts for breakig your age.  At 83 I haven't got the reaction times to hit the Ding the way that you youngsters do to score in the 50s. I'm strugling to break 70 but I still try though I would rather be on the green turf of Hokowhitu.

  I have heard some discussion of doing seniors only competition. I think those can work well if organized and ran by the community:)

  Arrgghhh the community cant be trusted! If we organise a tournamnt for Oldies only, those young whipper snappers will still play because they cant read properly, bloody young'ns, i'd flip em like a cheese omelette!

  Seriously, WGT could do this as they do with selective Tiers in Ready Gos and other Tournaments, it could be selective according to the age you have entered in your profile on sign up

  LOL So true, after all it seems hard to play a Tiered CC Tourny without higher tiers entering despite the titles used.

  All I can sugest, is try and and make friends around your age and play regularly with them and perhaps setting up a tourny between yourselves, especially if you can play together.

  I agree with you. The majority of the oldies playing would  play in an oldies only tournament. But there would be some of the flat bellies who would get in thinking it would be easy pickings. I doubt if WGT would go to the trouble to monitor entries best on signup profiles but it would be nice if they would, they could add a seniors championship to the monthly tournaments changing courses each month and then at the end of the year do a monthly winners or the combined points earned in the monthly tournaments to select the field and hold a tournament to name the WGT senior champion. I'm in!!!!!

  The idea sounds good Jim. At 77, I would get out and put in more practice time to compete with the oldies.

  They could also include disabiled golfers Ihave MS and it is a challenge to play competing with other golfers.
