Hi All,
I am slowly coming to terms with these greens, funnily enough its the little ones coming back with heaps of break that undo me. I either hit them to hard, or under compensate for the break lol.
TLD - good post. The laying up from distance is a very good idea. Just try and take those 3 putts out of the equation.
Although I am getting the hang of these quick greens I just cant seem to work out the mathematics - it just doesn't make sense to me.
I keep records of some if not all my putts, while I'm trying to get the hang of these tournament greens.
Lets take an example. I have a 28ft putt dead level - I hit it "X" amount. No problems. I have a 28ft putt 16" uphill, and I hit the ball "X - 2". I'm hitting an uphill putt, with less power than a flat putt. I just dont get it.
Whats the rub Niv ? Anyone any ideas ??
Anyway - back to practice fairways of Oakmont lol
Cheers
Doug
