I have no issue with someone being a jerk during a game. I just consider where it comes from and respond to it as I see fit. What I really object to, is when you play an alt game out with friends and one stranger and at the very last second the stranger insults me. I had this happen yesterday and found it quite cowardly to say the least. There was no time to ask "WHAT ???", since it was the last putt of the game.
My partner and myself totally killed the other team and this "stranger" played like a hack. My friends and myself started another alt and both of them said " What the heck was that all about ?? " There was the normal joking around during the game between all, which makes the game fun (for me anyway). In any case this player is a Legend and should have acquired some social skills by now. I tried to get an answer to my obvious question as to what he meant by his remarks. Whatever was on his mind didn't happen in the last 5 seconds of the game, and if he had an issue with something I said, it would have been much less cowardly to present it during the game and not at the last hole !
My gut says this dude just did not handle being "thumped" so bad. I guess I will never know for sure what his problem was, and likely shouldn't even care. Oh well------such is life ! Happy Holidays all.
