    Hi!

Just play st. andrew 18 holes. Manage a 56, but I really don't know about

that hole 3. Had 117 to the pin with 17 mph wind in my face. Hit my shot

118 no spin and it went 120?

Can anybody explain me that, I have done it plenty time before!!

    Thanks.

A guess...they are messing around with the winds again. One day a 17mph headwind acts like a 7 mph headwind. The next day...who knows.

When playing this game we all know sometimes the wind "has  a mind of its own". It sucks everytime it happens.. and we all know what the standard response from wgt will be... sigh....

Winds are playing up something shocking lately,   I think we all have to ride the storm, until th game settles down again.

We might be riders on a storm (unbelievable, as i'm typing this the song bij The Doors starts on the radio in the Top1000 of all time) but i'm afraid this is a storm unleashed by WGT that is here to stay. Imho this is their strategy (VEM/Deviation/Gusty wind, whatever you may want to call it) to reduce scoring levels. As i agree that 49's are ridicoulos (but boy would i like to make one!) i do not agree with this line. Make putting more difficult, make irons less sticky to greens (No dart throwing anymore).....Halas, bite the bullet is all we can do....

    Great song too....lol.

    No Offence to the OP.

I've been reading in the Forums for awhile now, from people saying the game is getting to easy... hence the low scores that are shot.

Basically they are getting bored with the game.... "why is game so easy....pls Wgt make the game harder to play"

Well the game has got harder and for plebs like me...it's not much fun anymore.

I will still play this great game..... but it is a struggle now....lol

Not unusual for the ball to release a bit on that hole. You should know since you played it before.   Blame yourself for missing the 9 foot putt instead of complaining about the wind.

It's not unusual for the ball to release and roll on most holes at St. Andrews. There are only 3 or 4 that don't release and roll. And those are the ones that are short enough to use the higher lofted wedges for you approach shots.
