LOL...I found bunker in hole 12 at St. A....some would say, this is stupid, crap UL, this is insane, you have no chance to hit that ball, etc, etc. Well, like in reality, the ONLY way to find fairway is hitting backwards...and that is what I did.

It if hasn't been for UL the shot would have been possible in normal conditions with a full wedge or even with a flop for an easy bird.

This is one of the main differences from UL and not UL, playing backwards and accepting to loose one shot. Yup, bloody difficult to make those low 50's under this conditions ...and some or many players do not like that.

    Cheers, Eric

Thats a fair call about the bunker play Eric. That's Golf

When yor just short of green in the rough with the ball very higher above you feet,  and you have to take the aim off the screen, hoping to get close to the flag.... well, that's not golf and that should be looked at before this style of play becomes good :)

Having played in Cerino and Corwyns UL tourney recently on 4 Open courses with Starter clubs and balls, it is the way forward.

For this reason, if you have ever played RSG and STA for real you will understand. Some bunkers there are so steep it is impossible to play forwards, and one has to accept that it is a lost shot if you go in one.

I have played RSG in heavy winds where you aim into the sea for some holes, or even on #14 with a R>L wind you would be aiming at Princes Golf Club clubhouse. It can be wild and far from picking your spot on the fairway, you are just grateful to be anywhere on it.

The distance loss is not unreasonable either, many a time at STA #14 it is impossible to reach in 3 shots if the wind is against, you just plot your way to the green and try for a 1 putt.

All Ul does is add another layer of calculation to your shot making.

Make the normal adjustments you would in even lie play then add the adjustments for your stance and up /down slope.

Finally if my real golf game was as predictable as even lies play , then I would give up the game tomorrow. In virtual golf here the only thing I don't know for example when I play STA front is will I get an eagle, I always birdie 1,3 5, 7,8 & 9, so an eagle means a 29, otherwise 30.

    How boring is that.

Hey Roger, long time no see m8. Without UL the shot is possible even aiming at the flag, although impossible to even think going for green when playing with UL. Nothing wrong with the feature here, just deadly simple; hit backwards to fairway.

Have a nice 2013 Roger, Eric

Hi Eric....  HNY to you too m8.

Yes, Iv'e had the pleasure (not...lol)  of hitting backwards out of the bunker.

The game needs to be relaxed a bit when you come up short of green in rough. It's too extreme when the ball is very high above your feet.

The rest of it is ok, I suppose.

I wouldn't want it to be standard. Maybe in special comps like the ones on now.

If it is standard to Legends and TL'S, then we might see a million Tour Masters not crossing the line to Legend...lol

LOL...very first scores of the very first day Sara, but thanks anyways :-),

Kia does not have the tough fairways like Oly, but fairways here are so bumpy that I did not have a single "flat" lie LOL, besides my putter had this end of the year season atmosphere, cold as hell :-(.

Longing to see your first score Sara....regards, Eric

Agree mate about the extreme of deviation when close to the green from rough, yup, it ought to be turn down a bit.

As for the TM never turning legends, agree too, but who knows, maybe WGT has plans to adopt the feature for all levels!

However, until now ENJOYING every single shot with UL.

    Cheers m8..Eric

Apart from the UL.  There is one other thing I've learnt.   The Max Ball is great slowing down the meter for the R11's.

Thanks Priestess for the vids that showed me that and a few other little things. :)

    PRIESTESS:

Half thought someone would score either a 63 or 62 because i messed the front nine up completely,,Sebicu just came in with an amazing >>60<<< This shows that even on the toughest UL course a single play Open winning score can be achieved,I like what LOL Server says,,The game is way to predictable and needs a complete shake up if it wants to go forward,No doubt wgt will  tone it down as more and more feedback comes in,,Fantastic score Sebastian!!  Happy New Year Everyone:) As the sun sets in the west i bid you a bon Farewell,!

Totally agree with Tess, as soon as the feature gets tuned up and balanced, most of the players at any level will enjoy it too.

So happy not  to see the low 50's until now with UL, only 3 Tour Legend players did submit a 59 at Bethpage (flat fairways the most)... this is AWESOME. Absolutely anyone with a good round can top the leaderboard, as simple as that...anyone.

Making a 60 at Olympic with UL and single play was not in my thoughts and almost out of this world must admit, but again, the guy (Fabian) was putting great for a fantastic round.

Hope to see much more of this kind of competition not balanced only to the side of the elite Tour Legend players as it had been happening since the creation of the Tour Legend level.

    Cheers, Eric
