dacrash:All frikin month the game has been disconnecting. Dont give me the "it's my fault" crap. It's happening to ALL, I repeat, ALL players.
No it isn't and I'll bet if you had eyes on your modem you'd be seeing where the problem is. WGT's not about to trek out to your joint and fix an ISP issue so, in effect, it actually is your problem. That and the finger pointing.
FWIW, this has happened to me in the past and it WAS on my end. Time on the phone with the cable IT peeps led me to an intermittent fault in a cable connection to the modem. If it continues, unplug the power to the modem, wait 10 seconds and plug it back in. If that doesn't help, call your ISP people.
ROFLMFAO
Well YJ, after reading some of your posts, I guess I wasnt expecting to be blasted by you. Hahahaha, it's not my ISP, it's not my modem, it's not because it's raining, it's not because my hard drive is full, it's not because the sky is blue, it's WGT poor programming and asset management. If they were really good, no one would have anything to complain about, but after the years of reading the same thing about the glitches, WGT needs to adress the problem, not stick their head in the sand. But it appears that either the management tells the programmers not to fix problems but to invent new ways to take our money, or the progammers are so lame that they don't know how and can't fix the problems.
Ok, so not ALL players. I know it is not on my end. Dont give me that hokey pokey crap. Why is it only in multiplayer games? I can play all the tourneys and single player games I want without crashing and disconnecting. WGT fix the problem. I know it is not just me. It happens to all the players I am playing against once a player pouts and quits the game because he missed a putt and got a bogey or once any player has any kind of glitch. Timers running out but no shot taken, and the screen freezes. Long load times, resulting in diconnects.
Game runs fine for months, then out of the blue, no wait, after an update, the game goes to crap. I restart my computer before even opening WGT because I know that it helps. I wish I could remember when the exact update was but Im not anal enough to write that kind of crap down.
The problem starts when some dumb a hole quits without using the menu. Then we wait, then the game crashes, then we wait, then we play a hole then someone crashes and we wait. Repeat until 3 disconnects and game over. Invest 1 or more hours, especially when crashing, not to get the credit for the game (good or bad) or the experience points and consecutive days played. Not going to play a hole just because WGT cant hire programmers to do the job correctly.
I was at 465 days consecutive, was disconnected 3 times, game ended. Did not realize the game did not count and next day lost the consecutive days, reset to 0.
Maybe I've just played this game too long and need to take my business elsewhere. Download the new Need for Speed and go for a different game.
Oh well it was fun at the start, but ruined at the end.
