    OMGWTFDUDE:

The price of credits here is totally absurd, $50 for 5,000 credits when some games cost 4,000 credits to join is a total joke. For $50 bucks you should get atleast 20,000, If WGT would stop being so greedy on the prices I am sure that A LOT more people would start buying them. I would rather spend My hard earned 50 bucks on some online poker and maybe turn it into a few hundred dollars that I can hold in my hand and go spend rather then spend it on golf credits that are worthless, come on WGT, give us a break.

i agree fully; the amount i spend on balls alone is staggering

First ... the cost for credits has always been $1.00 for 100 cr.

Second ... What games cost 4000 cr to play? Definitely none of the WGT tounaments. The only thing you'll cough up 4000 cr for are MPC's... and that's a matter of choice, not necessity. You can always hit the DECLINE button.

It is what it is. I don't even want to know what I have spent on here. No need for the, I have never spent a dime crowd to cheer in. Some of us spend real money on this game, and not just for ourselves. The people who just can't afford to spend money, and do all the surveys and such in order to play, I have all the respect in the world for you. The others, well, I have no comment, good or bad. It took a lot of money to develop this game, a lot to keep it going, and many salaries to pay. However, it has gotten way out of control, and I see no end in sight. We can either play free, and be the bottom feeders, or do what we can to support the game. At least the choice is there, as long as you don't expect to excel and be serious. Fun play, or pay play, there is really no middle ground.

I do surveys and other offers for free credits, but to each his own.

You don't HAVE to pay money to play this game, it's up to you.  This is a great game and fun to play, BUT it costs money to update/program etc.

So unless you'd rather pay a monthly fee to play it is what it is.

I do think they could give more credits for higher prices.

At $50 you could get an extra 1000 or something, but I'm not complaining.

I don't quite get this post, you have been playing for the best part of 2 years and now you say the cost of credits is absurd? There has been no change in the dollars for credits.

To continue to grow the game, the only result in increasing the credits would be to increase the cost of all equipment by the same percentage - ie no net benefit for anyone.

My peronal gripe is the cost of balls which I think are overpriced, but this is the one constant that keeps the revenue flowing so can't see this changing.

I can't say I have seen any 4000cr entry fees and assume these are challenges, but as this game is mostly skilled based, I would rate your chances better than in poker. But as you state, any credits are just that and are not real money. As I play for enjoyment alone, credits is sufficient in my case - I didn't start playing to boost my retirement fund lol.

Lmao..I stopped counting at £1500.00 and that was a couple of months ago.

Might work it out exactly when I get to my 1st anniversary.

You may have gotten the wrong impression of this game site. It's for fun and recreation in the first place.

If you wanna make cash a poker site will certainly be better for you, giving you at least a 40% chance to win some (40% for other players, 10% rake, 10% unpredictables in my uninformed opinion).

Here, only a few players take out cash AKA gift cards. Famous Mr. B guessed the amount of 20.000 $ per among all players. Is that proper chances for an easy buck, compared to a million $ turnover?

My answer is NO, and it may stop for good on 01-09 as announced by the company.

I for one enjoy the game, enjoy the views, enjoy the company of my friends, and I invest in this pleasure. The amount is affordable to me, less than some spend for cigarettes in two days. And, thanks to good offers in the "get credits" section, I enjoy a rebate for the credits that I buy.

I don't think that you understand my gripe, I am not here to try to pay my bills, I was simply stating that the price to play this game is very costly and I think that we should all get more Bang for our Buck.
