Damn... Sorry to hear that, Joe.

You've probably already restarted... but I'll share the Tourney info anyway:

    ----------------------------------------

This is what I wrote in the Opening Posts of the Thread to address the (unfortunately) likely event of disconnections:

***** ALSO, PLEASE NOTE: Disconnections are highly possible during your round, and because Uneven Lies is in practice mode, the game won't be saved, and you'll have to restart. Do consider grabbing card and stats shots during the round, especially after front9, and even card shots after each hole, in case you get cut off, and have to try and pick up later. Proposed rulings in the event of disconnects are here.  ******

This is all so tricky... I do hope we don't get people in this situation, but with so many players, it's almost inevitable.

    I propose the following rules:

    1. Scores and Stats will be accepted in Front9 and Back9 increments (although as Paul says, it makes for extra work, so full 18s are much preferred).

    2. Scores alone will be accepted in whatever increments are needed to finish a round, provided you've taken and submit all the card shots required.

    3. Stats need to be submitted in manageable increments of 18, or Front9 and Back9. If you have a disconnect mid-round and you want to stay in the running for any of the stats-related special prizes, you have 2 choices:

    a. Start over, losing your score from the disconnected game.

    b. Finish the game to complete your scorecard (and/or help your partner finish), knowing that those stats won't be able to be submitted... and then, play another round (with a marker if needed) for the purpose of the stats: however, since you could play the 2nd round purely to gain a specific type of good stat, the score you submit shall be the average (rounded up) between the 2 scores, or the first score, whichever is the worst.

For example: I eventually shoot 72 in a broken-up game. I play again to get a complete stat set, but this time shoot 79 (cos really I'm just trying to hit GIR and my putting sucks from 80+ft). I get to post my fabulous GIR stats, but my score gets adjusted to a 76 (72+79 = 151/2 = 75.5 rounded up to 76).

Hopefully this is a fair way of providing some penalty, and preventing abuse. Any thoughts, better suggestions?

    The key advice:

    1. Take card shots as often as you can (it's a good habit and it's protection for the main issue, your score).

    2. Pause long enough to get a full Stats set after Front9.

That's all good common sense Corwyn, but doing the shots totally messed me up and cost me 5 strokes I reckon. Perhaps it will become easier later, anyways here is the front 9 with Neil marking, God bless 'im.

I'll be needing a marker Sunday for the back 9, send me friend request if u can help me out  and I'll look out for you.

OK if I get it done I offer up the following

Sleeve of Callys for the "longest drive on the fairway or green during the whole tournament, and Yes, I can win my own prizes, LOL

Another sleeve of Callys for the guess of how long that winning drive is going to be.

    My guess is 304 yards

Another off the cuff guess for you, this thread will exceed 100 pages before tournament end.

In the WGF Tour, we played thru after a disconnect to get back to where we were...i/e

If disconnected on 5...we'd restart counting the completed holes, then pick up where we left off...but of course we were not saving stats...just scoring.

You could practice this too, you know... :) at a time when it's not important. Sorry to see you make doubles on the two holes you took screenshots. Can't you do a quick screengrab, make new file from clipboard in a Paint program, then return to your game browser (without even needing to save the Paint files at that moment)?

Best to suggest a time if you know when you'll be on. Is it still the 11-2pm GMT, and midnight-2am you mentioned on signup?

Very nice prize offers! Thank you!

Longest drive will certainly be at St Andrews as it's the round with the High Wind, so we'd better all get our guesses in quick. I'm going to try for 318 yards. I assume you'll need to see a Replay in the thread (and perhaps have playing partner confirm that the drive was in the tourney round proper).

And we'll get over 100 pages, no problem!

    Thanks MB,

We're allowing the same thing here... you can restart but just get yourselves back to the position you'd reached, and then complete the rest of the round from there (assuming you can prove your score up to that point)...

... and we're also allowing those that want to keep themselves in the running for special prizes to get valid stats via a second attempt BUT the score they submit gets weighted to prevent abuse (see above post for details).

Herbert (Wassernixe) sent me screenshots from his game with FairwayRuepel68 today, asking for me to post them (not sure why you couldn't do this yourselves, guys... ? And will you submit your score officially, too?)

    Anyway, here they are:

Herbert, unfortunately, your approach shot seems to have been cut off, so we don't get to see your clubs at all. Please try and get your whole screen next time. Thanks!

In practice with a 31 mph tailwind had one go 347 yards.

It's a shame Joe got disco'd cos he was even par after 3 and putting well.

Anyway here are some pics to confirm his score and that I was marking him.....I would have done the full 18 but it was 2am when we finished.

As you can see in the pic, it has overlayed another shot, I'm not sure which but this is Joe's front 9.

As much as I love this tournament idea, it is getting out of hand with one thread. My idea would be a separterate screenshot and rules thread to keep this one readable! My guess for the longest drive is 339 yds, on the fairway obvisouly.

    Cheers, Hans

    Someone please help!

My playing partner for round one (Kurtsbuford) has informed me a few hours ago, that he'll be pulling out of the tournament due to not having enough time. I'm now in urgent need of someone, who'd be willing to play along as a marker. To add to this kind individual's grief, he'd also need to take screenshots of everything required and post them, since I'm one of the technologically challenged (inept). If there's a volunteer willing to take this on, I'm available any time today (7pm US EST to start at the latest). Just leave me a wall post what time would be good for you, I'll get it forwarded to my phone if I'm not on. I need a max 30mins heads-up, most likely less.
