Hi everyone...Happy new year to you all.

Just returned after 2 months away from the game to see that WGT have stopped selling the 2.0 burners and replaced them with the Rocketbladez at the same level.  I can see everything identical to my trusty 2.0's apart from the swing speed being 1 notch slower.  The min and max distance of these clubs is exactly the same also, so does this mean all the distances of each iron will be exactly the same also?  Just curious because I can't be arsed to put in a days work on the fairways to get all the distances down on the new irons.  If they play absolutely identical in yardage to the 2.0 burners club for club with the same ball as I'm using currently, it kinda makes sense to purchase them just to make my swing speed consistent through every club (12oClock on the swing speed meter)

    Thanks

thanks..checked out that thread and this one by Chris http://www.wgt.com/forums/t/142679.aspx

I'm interested to find out if the distance of each club with full back spin/normal spin and full top spin is exactly the same as the burners...If that's the case, then purchasing these clubs is a no brainer if you got 12oClock meter speeds for your driver and wedges.

The ? I would have to ask myself is if I am shooting fairly well with the clubs I have, why would I go out and purchase the exact same thing with only a slower swing.

The only people making out on this is WGT. You already purchased these once and now they want you to do it again.

yeah I know, but when you have been playing this for as long as I have (5 years), credits build and build and do nothing sat in the bank,...it's not like I can take them to the shops and buy anything lol.  What exactly are WGT making when I use my fake credits I won for nothing?

Tony, I wouldn't bother getting the RocketBladz at this time.  You're only 2 levels away from qualifying for the R11 irons.  And you'll like those a lot.  I had the Burner 2.0s before the R11s and the difference is great.  So what if the R11s are the same meter speed as the Burners, they are worth it.

L90 is 486,988 XPs and you're probably in the middle of L88 now around 410,000 or so?  At the most just 2 months away from the R11s.  But if you buy some XP boosts, using them wisely, and play some AS or 18 hole tournaments you'll get there in a month or so.

Burners/Rocketbladez....miss a little miss a LOT. Having played with the Burners, you know the forgiveness is pathetic.

Having the R11's is a wonderful thing, i would wait. That 1/2 dot extra in forgiveness is AMAZING.

That being said, if the meter speed is an issue, the Rocketbladez would be worth it.

I used to have the burners but when I bought the rocketbladez my average went from 61.17 to now a 59.96...definitely worth buying to me.

thanks for your input guys, looks like a 50/50 split here so far.  I'll only buy them if they react exactly the same to full backspin on each club as the 2.0 burners.  I dont have a problem with the quick meter. but having the meter the same speed as my driver and wedges makes sense.

I,m a relative newbie to this game (bad legend), and at lvl 86 I obviously havent had chance to play the top r11 irons), but the bladez are much easier to hit consistently with than the old burners (on that I can speak from experience). i bought the bladez on release day (knowing that i was essentially spending two and half thousand creds on irons that I already owned) but the 700 back off the re-sale of the burners and the boost to my scoring have totally prevented any buyers remorse so far.. my two cents ...
