Based on recent observations, and reactions from WGT, I think WGT could care less about those that decide to leave

You're right of course. Still, those Newb's will only come while WGT is the best game around, or the cheapest. Although the game is decent, it is lacking in many areas. I think that is the main concern here. Not many are really interested in the stuff in the Elite shop but instead we are concerned over the direction WGT is taking. It does not feel that they are preparing for the competition that surely will come (20 years ago there existed Golf games that was more promising and complex than what we are playing now so surely it must be possible to build something better than this). Take motor racing simulations for instance, they laser scan whole tracks to get every bump right, in pure 3D, using that technology it would not be difficult to make a green where we could move around freely to examine the breaks. For instance.

They have a "We are hiring" tab at their homepage. Looking at what kind of people they need, they are building something new, something that is not Flash. Maybe that is what's going on here. For the mobiles and pads we already have to create new profiles and buy new gear (I assume, I have actually not checked if there is a shop in them) and I doubt very much that we can bring our R11's into that game.

The conspiracy theorist in my suspects that they have stopped the development on this game a long time ago and now they are just making tweaks and marketing experiments.

Stop the numerous disconnects, 5 in one round is nuts. Also don't tell me it's my computer. It is happening to everyone in my family

    why the bold?

So, err....  is everyone in your family on the same computer/ ISP?

    LMAO

You know I stopped my disconnects. I was getting one or two a day lately.

I changed my password. Seems to have alleviated it , for now.

Each of these Newbies will decide if they like the game or not and most will not and will leave.  For those that decide to stay, each will begin to level up and begin to buy equpment, balls, avatar's etc and the money pile for WGT continues to grow.

What I have ALSO mention over these pass few months is that with all the new changes over these past 2 / 21/2 years, they (WGT) is going to "struggle" keeping / retaining the newbi's.

The game is much more involved than it was when we jumped on board. The game was much more afforable to reach your goal. Now , it cost sooooo much more to reach even the littlest goal. We use to say, "I need better equipment so I can at the least, compete". Now, there are sooo many levels of equipment, a pile of different gb's to choose from, one more expensive than the next. The prices have gotten rediculous. WHY have the prices gotten so far out of control. The answer has been answered. They (WGT) CAN NOT HOLD ON to there NEW customers and are losing there veteran customers AT THE SAME TIME. The price to "at the least, compete" along with allllll the changes over the past 2 yrs has slowly  BUT surely is proving to be a terrible blow to once was a GREAT golf game. From a business stand point, the current situation looks very, VERY disastrous. Well maybe not disastrous, but very bleak indeed.

It would be "classy" if CN would at least ONCE chime in on (one of the STRONGEST FEELING TOPICS) I have ever been part of my entire time in the community. edge

What does a sinking ship smell like?

Rotting food & flesh, not unlike your undies.

I know for the moment it's just reciprocal linking, but I get the feeling that TGC is about to buy WGT.  I have no concrete evidence or information to back this up, just a feeling.

I think the buyout would benefit both parties financially, would be smart marketing for TGC, and would finally bring the game out of beta.

How TGC would administer the game, whether they'd keep the same non-subscription model, is anybody's guess.

All my speculation may be completely off base, of course...and then again, who knows?

very interesting trends Andy.  ty for sharing.   i wonder if, like me, many folks came here via an ad on Facebook.  that said, i sure haven't seen any facebook ads for wgt in a long while.

I use analytics for a few things too, these numbers paint a very accurate picture

Earnings Leaders for this month from Poldimaier to jakestanfill have accrued nearly 4,000$'s but still if they pooled their winnings, could not buy one customised avatar.
