CTTH at Lanai very nice. But if my memory serves me correctly, and it usually does, I thought that CTTH was in the Upcoming Product Releases a couple of years ago.

Yup, I seem to recall the same thing.  My guess is this Lanai course has been sitting on the shelf for quite a number of years, 4 or 5 years I imagine. Its got the same "feel" as Kiawah IMO just from the helicopter shots.

Really disappointing then, members have been begging for new courses and WGT has one sitting on the shelf all this time?  Makes me wonder how many more are they holding back?

I had been looking forward to the custom avatar and golf bag features being made available.  After seeing the ridiculous cost for these items, I can safely say that I will NOT be buying them.  I must wonder however, at these price levels, why did WGT even bother.

If your not constantly putting real money into this game, then you are no longer valuable to WGT. All the best players with tons of credits, have not spent a real cent in forever. Although you set the bar, were the inspiration for new players to spend money to upgrade, and try to play like you, you are no longer an asset. You spend no real money anymore. WGT can run you off, new players will hear about your accomplishments, and still chase the dream. They will have to spend real money to chase that dream, because they don't have credits built up. I guess that is why WGT puts up with me, they take a quick look at my account history and say Holy $hit, this guy is nutz, but we love his contributions to the bank account. The new bag, avatar, and other useless things won't affect me. I still feel good, knowing that I gave more pleasure to the community, during the week of Christmas, than WGT gave to a few million with this charade.

Ha ha ha! This is the most ridiculous thing i  ever seen. How could a reasonable human being to think that a computer game could sell a VIRTUAL product with 5000$. LOL with 5000$ you can buy a REAL car (s-h).  Except some country like Usa, Can, Uk, FR, Ger, and few more, 5000$ could be all REAL money you can earn in 1 year and here is the cost for a stupid avatar. wtf!

The big issue is the fact that these decisions annoy the community and many players will stop to play because wgt become more and more arrogant. That  MisterWgt chat phone also.

At least we have 1 good thing. The new course look very nice! Sorry for my bad english, i wish told more! :)

I'd normally defend WGT's decision making as the majority of the times, the changes they make are normally for the greater good in the long-run. This update is quite astonishing however and does make you concerned whether the management team are listening in anyway or form to their user base.

Having taken a reasonable break for the last three months, I'd come into the New Year prepared to put in a bit more time with the game. Removing the good bits of the Elite Collection and replacing them with options which are frankly ridiculous is only going to push longer-term players away.

Hmmmmmmm let me think....what's the best use for that spare $5000 which I've got in my bank account? I know - I'll buy a custom made avatar on an online golf game to wow my nearest and dearest with..........

..........GIVE US MORE REASONS TO WANT TO STAY, NOT GO!

After 2 weeks away, i come back to WGT to find that the gift cards I've saved up for for nearly 2 years have suddenly vanished.  In their place is a chance to buy an avatar or a bag for twice as much credits as a $250 gift card was.  WGT is TAKING THE PI55 out of us.  I was just about to spend some of my $$ on a monster 16 gig ram Alienware PC so i could enjoy this game much more, but seems i wont be playing this MONEY GRABBING site any longer.  Just as many other players probably accumelate enough credits for gift cards too they get taken away. Talk about false advertising.  Its like Bob has worked for years at same company putting money into his pension then as he is about to retire his pension disappears.  As there is no longer any point at all in entering ready go's or to win credits i see many others quiting this site for good.  Before i leave i might spend some of my credits calling Mr WGT and telling him what a muppet he is and has ruined any incentive of any one wanting to play for credits, one of the main incomes for WGT.  WGT is going downhill faster than an Olympic Skiier.

I'm off somewhere else  maybe travelling around the world to spend a bit of the megga bucks i just inherited!!!! So much more to do IN THE REAL WORLD. 2 weeks away makes you see how sad its been playing here for 2 to 3 years and seeing the company turn from a decent one to a "not give a damn, money making cash cow"  Ahh wait, I'll just buy the x4 speed up boost so i can leave even quicker!!!

Before i go does any one want to buy 150,000 credits for $100, think of what you could say to Mr wgt in that hour................(thats how close i got to a gift card.LOL)

Nice deal, but with all that's going on I committed myself to having fun here, without paying a single dollar. When management decisions make more sense at some point in the future I might change that point of view, but as long as it goes as it goes I simply refuse.

One has to wonder about the wisdom of the marketing group at WGT.   Or, is it a going out of business Sale.   hmmmmmmm
