Why dont WGT take these guys on board, they seam to have some great ideas, on graphics ect and to take this sort of online game to the next level, and if not  why cant WGT,s  tech guys or brain boxs do what they say at PP they can, to take it to an all new level, if it does start up and running they will have some brilliant stuff on it

As good as it looks, why have they not got the money themselves for guys that can put this together they must have had very good and well paid jobs for years, also the graphics look awesome why has no company come forward to sponsor it $300,000.They are miles away from their target and any money given may be lost if they don't hit target. If and when it happens then I may put money to it.

PP has other revenue streams, i.e. their course design tools are used for designing real courses as well .. Perfect Golf would be taking it a step further and incorporating that into actual game play ..

they have invested capital over the last 12 mnths to develop this & KickStart is an effort to fast track this .. failing which it'll just take longer to develop the game play, so it's a matter of time only i believe .. these guys know the market and have an extensive background in game application development .. they know their stuff

remember that this is still a very new development effort, so it'll benefit the sim golf community at large to support their efforts .. that is if u want a next generation golf sim that'll blow everything else away .. i know i do

like where was YJ, Mbaggese and all our other favorites to respond to the shite I post.

I don't think you post shite, John, I'm just stuck on the video of the fat guy with the baseball hat looking like some kid in his mother's basement asking for donations so he can quit his full time job to work on this. Who you gonna scare with the $300K they're trying to raise (and failing miserably at?) And trying is somewhat of a misnomer as they seem to be failing miserably in achieving their goal.

Lots of talk over some pretty pictures. Lots of talk about this fabulous game they're going to overlay on those pictures. Talk, talk, talk, that's all I see there. This is a half-assed way to build something, IMO. It's like me saying "Everybody send me $20 and if I get enough I'll build a kitchen for you and engrave your name on the cabinets."

What was Cuba Gooding's famous line a while back?-"Show me the money!" Exercising a bit of poetic liberty, "Show me the game!"

Its good to see WGT might get some competition then they might start treating customers with respect and not as $$ signs, but as for kickstart.....

I haven't pledged yet, I never do business after 6pm.

But upon reflection Jim is right , there is no product, they re begging for money, that alone raises a red flag.

It's a bit like selling a flight ticket and then telling the customer you have to buy a plane first.

Is it possible WGT are well aware of the competition and they know no one can touch them in terms of quality and value for money.

Let's be fair this a bloddy good game, and I have friends here that should they walk through my front door I know very well that we will get on like a house on fire.

It seems to me that something that looks as good a perfectparalell looks wouldn't have any problem finding venture capital to start up and proceed.  I would have to think long and hard about throwing any money into a one man show (or it appears to be) just because of a few pictures.

WGT has some major issues, no question of that, but no none in the gaming industry has stepped up to challenge them with a game of this quality and probably for several reasons.  WGT patented their physics and game pretty well and it will be hard for someone to penetrate the market with something similar.  A totaly  new concept and programming is conceivable but development would cost a fortune.  It would, however be a welcome change providing it was reasonably priced.
