They are simply going about it wrong.  They publicly asked for a generosity handout.  But, that's not criminal.  It's just stupid.

They could work for WGT in a snap.

That said, I sure as he*ll will give them a chance when they get up and running.  And, WGT's arrogant non-response to this movement ON THEIR OWN FORUM baffles me to no end.

I'd seriously consider donating, but only after I could play some sort of beta demo rather then the pretty screenshots they have now. The game looks like it could be superb for sure, but I'd need to be able to play it to some degree first.

And I would want something in gratitude for my donation....like a few shares or free balls for life.

I haven't pledged yet, I never do business after 6pm.

But upon reflection Jim is right , there is no product, they re begging for money, that alone raises a red flag.

It's a bit like selling a flight ticket and then telling the customer you have to buy a plane first.

Is it possible WGT are well aware of the competition and they know no one can touch them in terms of quality and value for money.

Let's be fair this a bloddy good game, and I have friends here that should they walk through my front door I know very well that we will get on like a house on fire.

I would say WGT is fully aware of what is going on at Perfect Paralell, and since WGT has already gone through that stage of development of their own game, they have a pretty good idea of where PP is in development and how long it will take them to get something that is remotely playable.  It would surprise me if WGT even had a comment on this thread as I am sure they do not feel immediatley threatened by what they see and what they know.  If you look at the forums on PP, in November, it was still uncertain if it would be an online experience, it was only a possibility.

I ran the idea past a few friends of mine and all I got was this steely-eyed stare........they wanted to know if I was serious.

Mr. Jim you know what that look is from. It is the look you get from some of your customers when you give them a price quote. Lol

edit: C'mon guys I expected a better response than this, yet, saying that when I logged on this morning , and checked out the forums, there was a deathly hush about the place, very eery, like where was YJ, Mbaggese and all our other favorites to respond to the shite I post.

    Just noticed this post:)

There 1000's of Venture Capitalists always looking to put their money into something of a good idea.

I'm no VC and my money goes for feeding and housing my kids:)

Heck, if my credits dry up here and I am not having fun with the starter ball, it's off to online badmitton for me.

i think the key for them would be to create something playable like WGT did .. just so one could sample the game play .. i expect if they did that, mass support would soon follow ..

Since when does any start-up company have to rely on donations???? You don't even begin to think about starting a company without first having enough capital to get the business going.

This appears to be nothing more than a scam. It seems to me if this were a legitimate project with prospects to be a profitable enterprise they would have backers waiting in line to get in on the ground floor. And obviously they don't or they wouldn't be asking for donations to get the company started. I have to ask myself why???

They might not be able create a playable model because all they have is a few great looking pictures and nothing else. It could be why they have no backing except donations!
