I enjoy the game, but have as yet to enter any tournaments or ready go's.

When looking at the leaderboard my chances of being competitive are slim to none in the free ones, so there is NO chance I will spend credits to play.

While I get that taking away the giftcards must suck for the elite, it might make a large part of the game accessible for people who want to play and not supplement their income.

Before I get blasted, I understand that I am speaking as a have-not and more than likely my attitude would be different if I were a have.  But I would love to be able top play in tourneys and challenges etc and have a sliver of hope.  Knowing I need to shoot in the 50s is not in the cards and keeps me away.

I still enjoy playing the odd AS or MP and just improving my score.

Would WGT prefer to make 0.01 off of 100 players or 1.00 from 1 player?

In virtual golf much like real golf, the best players usually win and over time will prevail more often than not.  I don't play the stroke play ready go tournaments (well once in a while I'll join in) because I simply can not putt well enough to compete.  I can however hit other shots well enough to win some CTTH ready go's so I stay in there.

For those who wish to risk credits, I would suggest Blitz and match play games against others at similar skill levels.  You might still lose but you are playing against people who you are competitive against.  Of course the real winner is WGT with their double sided rake of all bets.

Someone said it before................They don't build those huge hotels and casinos in Vegas from the money that they pay the winners.
