First, with the beginner clubs and balls, I sucked. I couldn't get the ball in the hole and 6 over par is the maximum strokes. 6x9=54 6x18=108. 36+54=90 72+108=180. I got better with decent balls.
LMAO!
Here's the thing. I scored 88 or 89 on my very first round here (for 18, not for 9 like you). A couple of days later I discovered I can actually ditch the EZ swing putter (by far the worst club you can think of) and it took 10 strokes off my round. 10 days in I shot my first par on full 18 Kiawah. I played with nothing but starters until I was a 69 avg TP (2 months since I joined) and then bought a putter, some wedges and G20s. The best 50 $ I ever spent, I saved more than that the first week I had them by not needing to drink my sorrows away after a poor round. A week later I scored 30s and had a 27 on RSG F9, that made me a master.
So for someone to believe you that better balls cut your strokes down over 60% over night, you'd have to be talking to a 3 year old.
I'm not saying (nor do I care) you're a M/A. Your history however proves you intentionally scored much higher than you were capable of in order you could get enough XP points to buy better gear without tiering up. This is called sandbagging by default and as you may have discovered, it's frowned upon just a little.
Any more wise comments and explanations in your bag?
