What is the problem with me asking a question about something completely legitimate? Why do you have to go on here and start slandering people who have practiced to make themselves better?

Don't take it personally mate. Your history suggests that you're being less than honest with your scoring in order to maintain your amateur status. It's called sandbagging or cheating. People don't take kindly to that in these here parts.

Watch out for an angry mob with burning torches and pitchforks.

Oh, and the loans idea, just to get back on topic: Never going to happen.

    This is why:

12.05.12 Congressional Ctth Ready Go All Players 139.77

139.77 / 9 = average of 15.53 being able to put the ball this close consistently should equate a better score than 180 which you shot on the same day.

You're right, 15ft isn't that good, but when you look at his Blitz, CTTH and Putting Challenge scores they just don't jive with his Stroke Play scores. Looking at the Blitz scores he clearly isn't bad with his irons. If his average to the pin is 15ft and let's assume he's on in 2 or 3, do you really believe it takes him 7 or 8 putts to get it into the hole from 15ft.....every single time?  Of course not, not with scores of 250K+ in the Putting Challenges.

Sorry AS15, I just wanted to know how buying a ball would shave 113 strokes off your score in 48 hours, that's all.

Oh yeah, and the loan thing is a really bad idea.

First, with the beginner clubs and balls, I sucked. I couldn't get the ball in the hole and 6 over par is the maximum strokes. 6x9=54 6x18=108. 36+54=90  72+108=180. I got better with decent balls.

    LMAO!

Here's the thing. I scored 88 or 89 on my very first round here (for 18, not for 9 like you). A couple of days later I discovered I can actually ditch the EZ swing putter (by far the worst club you can think of) and it took 10 strokes off my round. 10 days in I shot my first par on full 18 Kiawah. I played with nothing but starters until I was a 69 avg TP (2 months since I joined) and then bought a putter, some wedges and G20s. The best 50 $ I ever spent, I saved more than that the first week I had them by not needing to drink my sorrows away after a poor round. A week later I scored 30s and had a 27 on RSG F9, that made me a master.

So for someone to believe you that better balls cut your strokes down over 60% over night, you'd have to be talking to a 3 year old.

I'm not saying (nor do I care) you're a M/A. Your history however proves you intentionally scored much higher than you were capable of in order you could get enough XP points to buy better gear without tiering up. This is called sandbagging by default and as you may have discovered, it's frowned upon just a little.

Any more wise comments and explanations in your bag?

This thread might actually be a Great Moment in the History of WGT.

The anti-sandbagging changes chased out the sharks who swam in the MPC sea right away.

This thread offers hope that there's now no way for the MA's to recoup the initial outlay for equipment, plus earn enough to gift their future accounts the gear and boosts needed for profitable play.  The infinite loop has spun off on a tangent.

My guess is there are still a good number of Mothership accounts that accumulated enough bankroll under the old system to seed their clones for a while, but eventually this nonsense will be a thing of the past.

But look who finished just 2 shots behind you in Oakmont Ready Go 23/24 Dec 2012 as an Amateur mixed in with some very experienced players after having joined less than 4 weeks and played a few ranked rounds:
