    I pretty much quit playing in all the weekly stuff.  You play 9 holes burn 1/2 a ball and get a payout of 1.7 credits for your work.  I realize that there are some prizes, I won a $50 Amazon gift card in one of those, but I would bet that if you add up all the balls you burn up against the prizes you are net in the hole.

    I would think that WGT could find sponsors for at least the monthly tournaments to make the game worthwhile.

    Woodoworkery:

    That was my first skin game for credits......lol but he challenged me, he set the game up.So I payed 120 credits , he said he lost 100, so WGT got 200 credits for nothing?

    Lol, no, they only took 60, 30 from each player. You each payed 120 (90 into the pot and 30 to WGT), so if you won 7 and last two were halved, that 240 credits that this game cost both of you combibed should be split 160 (7 won and 2 unclaimed) to you, 20 to your friend (2 unclaimed) and 60 to wgt as their rake. But it's all explained in the FAQ.

    WGT should have the prizes as follows for weekly:

    1st = 1000cr in the pro shop

    2nd = 750cr

    3rd = 500cr

    Then the rest shares the prize pot on offer. Simples.

    I remember back in the day you could win Nintendo Wii's amazon cards set of irons and so on.

    Dear WGT,

     If I only win a cent or two in a weekly/monthly tournament, please keep it and do not add it to my earnings. Any company that sponsors tournaments and can only afford to pay pennies must need the money more than I.

    Thank You,

    RobinGraves

    P.S. I hope your internal financial woes turn around in the near future so that maybe tournament players can win enough to purchase a decent sleeve of balls.

    I share your feelings.  I am retired and partially disabled.  I joined and enjoyed the game.  I attempted to invite my wife, but the invite wasn't sent. I worte WGT and they said have her join and when she has joined, e-mail them again and they would credit the driver and balls.  She joined and I have written them 3 separate times.  NO Reply.  I am doing surveys to get better equipment.  I have literally spent 80 yours completing surveys to get a total of a little over 3000 point.  I now only qualify for about 1 in 30 surveys. I cannot afford to buy balls, enter tournaments, or play the elite courses.  Kinda stinks.

    First know, for anyone reading what is to follows.. that I did perform a search for a relevant discussion and decided to bump this one.

    I did read the posts, and they cover the gamut on the note of the root topic of; "increasing prize payouts".. for the most part.

    My thoughts..

    It's hard to justify burning through a sleeve to achieve a top ten finish only to be rewarded with pennies on the investment of doing so.

    Sure.. there are the bragging rights of doing well. However, I wouldn't mind being able to come away with enough coin to at least replace the cost of the balls played? If yous understand me here.

    Now, then..

    *Why do I bring this topic up now?

    Well..

    After the forum search, the search results never revealed much in terms of what has changed.

    How long it has been, if.. if, things have changed (prize pools increasing and/or changes in the breakdown of payouts).

    And more to the point.. need moar incentivizing implemented/put into place.. on the note of increasing prize payouts to keep peeps interested in playing the tournaments. Simply put. At least, where I am concerned and on a personal note.

    *As well as, this has been something on my mind for a bit.

    Thoughts? Clarifications?

    (Sidenote: Another discussion thread had alluded to the increases in costs of equipment, notably, balls.. with no corresponding increases in the prize pools in that same time period.)

    1) New and high prizes have been added in the Virtual Tour (but halved in the last years).

    2) More credits are in the RGs, with a safe rake of 20% benefitting our hosts.

    3) You might want to see the reward of your purchases in your leisure, not in amassing virtual cash of little to no worth in real life.

    Note: This is but a computer game. You can't make a living from it, and trying this might ruin your life!

    My two Pfennig: Look out for the views (magnifcient!), look out for friends (priceless!), and have fun!!

    Don't know what you're moaning about....

    I can buy a WHOLE ball and STILL have 50 credits left for Shotpal upon reaching Champ tier.

    ;-)))

    They are free to enter with payouts for every tier.  Think bigger than just yourself and stop complaining.

    edit:  Adding up the total prize pool for 1 weekly across all tiers is 9500 credits x 7 weekly's equals what?.... $665.00 / week for free.

    I get it if you don't do well in them it'll cost you more to play vs what you'll earn.  Therein lies the game aspect...do well (i.e. practice / get better), to make it worthwhile or don't play in them.

    edit:  its actually more than that...some weekly's pay more than the 1 I looked at
