    Agreed,

Some folks are like a pack of wolves just "take, take, take"

I think the OP should keep his credits, take a wee break and then decide..

Either way, WGT are losing the players that we all looked up to when we began and it is sad..

Just checked the Op's profile and he has not gifted anything away yet and he has played again since his starting this thread, so hopefully he has heeded the advice of some of you and maybe he's re-thinking his decision to leave.

I will say though that going from Hack to Legend in about 75 days that maybe he's putting too much pressure on himself.

Joel, I can't say enough about having some really good friends on here and playing some fun AS games with them.....it really does wonders for your sanity.

Was just about to comment on this.  The fact that OP has not gifted anything nor has he commented on any of this after 11 pages of comments.

I just love all the people who are passing judgement on others.  Calling them vultures and thieves and wolves.  Lets not get it twisted.  Its not like Joel was walking through the WGT clubhouse parking lot with a backpack full of credits and this group rolled up on him and jacked him.  I checked post too and I don't recall him saying "hey guys Im frustrated and not sure what to do and THINKING about quitting and ditching my credits," and people crawled out of the woodwork and said  Yes Joel quit quit quit and buy me some stuff.  He said he is quitting and to put your request in, thats it.  Agree that it is a shame and do believe he needs to take a moment and think about this and not be rash.  Hopefully more of this doesn't happen and WGT does something to make everyone feel good again and not be so negative about everything. ( i think on active thread of 20 posts more than half of them are complaints or gripes or negative)

You wouldn't pass judgement on somebody down on their luck accepting a free meal or some kind of hand out and you don't know what all these peoples situations are. Maybe they can't spend $100 a month on this game, I know I can't. I dumped 50 bucks on it and I'm hoping i can earn and get enough free credits to run me to Legend or Tour Legend(if im so lucky) and if OP decides to quit and wants to pass on his good fortune then good on him, if he decides to take a break and come back later then even better. I can be on both sides of this. If OP wants to gift something to me I will accept it graciously and I will pay it forward someday, but I can also feel bad that he is going and feel his frustration as well and that doesn't make me a bad person.  It certainly doesn't make me a thief or a wolf in sheep's clothing or a vulture

this made me chuckle.......since clearly it's the same thing you're railing against....in principal.

you hope not to offend yet offend..........so......be the way you are! :) lol.

I agree completely with this. Why can't people just try and encourge someone when they are emotionally and mentally burned out, as it seems in this case?

I say to the OP if you read this. Just step back and take a break and really think about what you want. Please don't make a hasty decision that you could possible regret. I know this game can be and is very expensive. Not just money wise either.

I love this game, but at times it frustrates me to no end. The weird shot results you sometimes get, but at the same time, the results you get when you know you hit a really bad shot and get great results you don't deserve.

    Peace Bro

100 points go to duffer ;) It was indeed ironic and over-the-top, to make people realize and think about it.

    Cheers, Hans

11 pages of comments in 2 days? I wasn't expecting the frenzy it has turned into.

Based on what has been mentioned - a few things I will mention:

People can post whatever they like, some people have outlined how they would like entire clubs sets as well as multiple sleeves of balls and how I should donate all my credits to them despite the fact I have never even played with them. Others have said they want nothing and everything in between.

I have not as yet given anything away and at the end of the day I will choose. I have not thought about how to give them away but it wouldn't all be to the same person. There is no need to argue about what people have posted or requested.

The reason I have not given anything away yet is because I don't want to give them all away and then regret doing so. It's also likely people on my friend list will get priority. I am also supposed to get an additional 5k credits from WGT but as yet have not got them. It's probably just another bullsh*t broken offer but I want to see whether I get them or not.

I still think at some point I will give them away but please don't waste endless time posting your requests and then be disappointed if you don't get what you asked for. I would need 100,000 credits to give everybody what they asked for.

Some people have also given reasons why I should buy them things. As far as I know none of you work for nothing in an orphanage. I appreciate that some of your are broke but it's unlikely to influence my decision. I also don't want sympathy.

I have received a dozen friend requests and a lot of wall posts. Please don't send friend requests - they will be rejected.

A lot of speculation as to why I am leaving. The bottom is line is I am not enjoying the game. WGT Pizza sent a message asking, I will post below the message I sent (with a few spelling corrections). You may or may not agree with what I have said but you will see there are a number of reasons.

    ----------------------

I'll list a few reasons. Some aren't really the fault of WGT but are still factors.

    1) I lost count of how many free "offers" I did and never got credits. I also paid £ 10 to join WH Vegas. Where are my credits? Who am I emailng when I request support - they sure as hell aren't sorting it out... I don't feel I get any sort of service across the board.

    2) I got kicked up to Legend. It's not fun when you can't even make the fairway from the Tee with a headwind. Sometimes there is nothing I can do. Same story when I made master. I got penalized because I didn't take months to get up the tiers. I am not going to play for another 3months so I can eventually get the clubs I need to compete. 9/10 legends are 90+ and have most of the best gear in the game. This has made the game less enjoyable and have much less motivation to play.

    3) The servers are bugged. I don't think I have ever got through a 9 hole game without someone getting disconnected. Sometimes it happens a dozen times.

    4) The game is flawed. It's Flash. Flash is easy to hack. Do you think the top players are fair? I don't. People cheat on other flash games playing for nothing - so do you think they won't when they are playing for holidays? I saw a youtube video or people using hacks to ensure they hit the ding every time. It makes me wonder what the point of playing fair is or playing at all if people can cheat.

    5) The Ready-gos are boring. They are always the same ones. Maybe give a higher purse if you can't fill them - they are all credit sinks anyway.

    6) The prizes for free tournaments are too low. I doubt you could even cover the cost of the balls you were using even if you were to win.

    7) I have to pay additional credits to play some courses such as Whistler. I would like to see more courses.

    8) The premium section prizes are extremely poor... not that I am good enough to get that many credits.

    9) Earning free credits was nerfed - videos particularly. I don't feel like spending money when I am not enjoying the game.

    10) Aspects of the game play I still find frustrating. No 2 shots are ever the same. Chipping, pitching and flopping is all over the place. Half the time I get very close, half the time I am nowhere near. Much as I try I can't even seem to get any consistency with these types of shot.

    11) Personal issues. I don't have as much time to play the game as I once did.

    12) Frustration. Sometimes every putt misses by inches. Meter jumping and lag also makes for frustrating and annoying game-play.

    13) I got a browser error when I tried to send this message. I often get browser errors when viewing pages on WGT especially with IE.

    14) I find it annoying that some gear in the Pro Shop seems to have wrong stats. My R11 Irons didn't seem to be any more forgiving than my G20 irons despite that fact they supposed are a whole notch better. If I spend credits I actually want to know what I will get when buying.

The biggest issues for me are #1, #2 and #4

I appreciate WGT need to make a profit and some reasons I have listed are in conflict to that.

I think that could be done in more creative ways and if the level or service was better I would feel like I was getting value. I paid £9 a month for World of Warcraft and didn't think twice about it because I got a decent level of service.

I feel guilty spending real money on WGT because I don't get service and feel my enjoyment of the game has constantly been killed for no reason other than WGT's agenda.

I haven't given credits away yet, but I am serious. I don't want to give them all away and end up regretting it. I would be interested in your take on some of the points I outlined.

You need to take into account that Pizza's working Monday through Friday, so it could take a day or 2.

adt, I guess you didn't read my response. You have some valid points about game issues and playability. But the fact remains, you are in your position (dis advantage with equipment) because you made it to Legend before you should have. You packed light, rushed to the top of the mountain, every thing was warm and fuzzy. Now you are there and thinking, where the hell is my heavy gear. Should have thought, and prepared better. Awful cold up there with summer clothes.
