NO ONE said OR refered to anything as "disgusting and low".

OK "disgusting and low" are my words, but the reference is totally there......There's a picture of vultures in one post!

As for "rifling through his pockets" -  in the "virtual world", in this scenario, not far from it.
.Like I said.....the OP is offering his credits to an open forum, no-one is blatantly pestering him for them, he is giving them away.

If a guy decides to give all his money away because he's had enough of whatever, and you are around to receive some of that money, would you turn it down......would you bollox!

Same scenario, virtual game, someone's giving away virtual money 'cos he's had enough, and we're around at the right time and could do with some.

    overtheedge:
Even if someone was giving anything away, I WOULD NEVER ask for it, no matter what

Each to their own, that's your choice, but I'm not having people coming over all righteous, when the situation is a generous offer to the public.

I wouldn't dream of approaching a player and asking for anything out of the blue.....like some have with the elite......but when someone is willingly giving stuff away, and I'm unable to afford to buy things, I'll say yes please, and thank you very much.

Yes, I posted that picture to lighten things up.....for crying out loud people are very sensitive around here......probably a better way for the OP to have done it was to ask people to PM him if they wanted to take up his offer....it just looks kinda odd in an open forum......me...me...me.....

Everyone to their own I suppose.......

    Happy hitting.....

The OP didn't say "post on my wall your needs", nor did he say "send a friend invite, then let me know what you want thru a PM"...that being said, how should folks (in anyone's opinion) have asked?

    Would:

    "later Dude, send me Nikes"

    Be better than:

"sorry to see you go, send me Nikes"

He made a gesture in an open forum, and players responded in the same fashion.

I see nothing wrong with the way anyone asked for anything...

Oh, and if there are any credits left, I got a craving for a Big Mac meal.

I hate to say it, I guess, but this is just symptomatic of what WGT has been doing.  The "weird" shots are at an all time high, with balls hit on the "ding" somehow going 10 yds left, right, short, or long with little or no wind and insignificant changes in elevation - not that elevation changes ever have much of an effect anyway - other than uphill and making it impossible to hold greens.  Unless, of course, you try using spin, which in turn makes the shot completely unpredictable.  Like everyone has said a million times on here, when we make a bad shot it is reasonable to be punished for it, but when good shots start encountering this "variance," or whatever it is, then it just frustrates anyone trying to actually become good at the game.

This not to mention that the way credits are earned is starting to become a complete farce, and with clubs and balls costing so much, it's very easy to get frustrated.  Better to just go spend our money on real golf where the outcomes are at least consistent with our ability.

    Just my 2 . . .  or 4 . . . cents.

    Cheers,

    Gip

I CAN NOT believe some of the post I am reading here. This reeeeealy opens my eyes. I mean, I have had so called "friends" turn on me like a snake, even people in the REAL WORLD I have not seen eye to eye with have NEVER treated me the way some have here at WGT but this thread really puts a whole new meaning to "virtual friends".

Example; Hey, REALLY sorry to see you go. Maybe tomorrow will bring a new light.

Oh, and btw - NIKE GB's /  One of the new drivers, OR I'll take a set of some irons if your really think your going to leave. BUT AGAIN, SORRY TO SEE U LEAVE.  W. T. F. !!!!

    *****************************************************************

The virtual world - EVERY MAN FOR THEMSELVES. WTF!

Ya know what man, keep your credits for a rainy day. If that day never comes, than so be it. But all this BU-*S*-T about , "hey sorry to see you leave BUT- I'll take ANYTHING thats not tied down" - screw that man. I know you're trying to be a nice person but ya know what, hold on to your credits man. Wait until you find the right person who TRULY needs the clubs or gb's.

    This is VERY disheartening. VERY.

    +1000000000

Very self centered people for sure.
