{c} Regardless of the multi-player game you are playing, 90 sec. is

much toooo long for a player to wait to shoot. If given the 90 sec, I

have found that the huge majority of the time the player will take

almost ALL the 90 sec. If you cannot pull a club, line up your shot,

and shoot in 30-45 sec, you indeed have a problem. I do not think that

anyone who plays multi-player games will object to a faster moving game.

got to disagree with the above on a couple of points.

i like to use the zoom/reverse view on every shot if my game is slow loading 30 secs is nowhere near enough and 45 secs is pushing it.

i find its very rare that people use the full 90 secs, generally i would say the average time is about 50 secs

most importantly if you think 90 secs is too long then do not play in them, nobody forces you to.

i think 30 secs  is not enough time so i never play in them

quoted a few points golfvader - my replies indented and italicized

{a} Could an avatar be designed that reflects male/female golfers that

are "older" than the present ones. We are NOT all 25-30. We "older"

players usually wear hats and sunglasses for protection.

Awesome idea!  And I think rolling out several free versions, much like the 'stock' avatars we can use from either gender, are a fantastic way to go.  Of course offering fancier version of some more seasoned avatars in the proshop makes sense too, but please, there should be some free ones to chose from as well.

{c} Regardless of the multi-player game you are playing, 90 sec. is

Agree, 90 seconds is way too long.  45 should do the trick, barring some wgt slow camera loads and what not.  60 is probably fine.  But, as some will say.....just don't play 90 second games.....well that's dandy, but not conducive to finding a game as many don't even adjust the clock time when creating a game.   After your tee shot, check your yardage, plan you club and distance with wind and what not and have a pretty good idea what you're going to do next, most times well before your opponents have even hit their shot.

{d} On the green, it is great in match play that you can "concede" a

putt to your opponent. It moves the game along. But there should also

be "continuous" putting. Why should a player who is left with a 2 inch

putt have to wait for as many as 3 other players to putt before

"tapping-in". This will also move the game along.

Can agree with letting a player inches away tap in before waiting.  Probably only if all balls are on the green already!   Good time to refill the water jug while others are putting out.

{e} The new "design your own avatar" is priced so that nobody can avail

themselves to it. It is my opinion that ALL items in the pro shop

    should be priced to sell.

    Agree!

{f} I have no problem with the equipment prices, except for golf balls.

Up to 650 credits for 3 golf balls is outrageous. I have no problem

using the WGT brand of equipment. I use the Max Control putter, and

love it. The WGT brand ball should be available and comparable to the

better and higher priced "name brand" balls. You did it with irons,

wedges and I am sorry to say with Max balls. THEY ARE BLACK!!!! WHO

WANTS BLACK CLUBS AND BALLS? With the exception of the Max putter, the

rest are downright ugly. Make them more eye-appealing and I can almost

guarantee you'll sell more. Balls are what we ALL MUST BUY!!!! With the

price structure we have now, why do you have to "grab us by the balls"

    with ridiculously high prices?

Agree - black balls are the worst - can't see em in flight w/o tracer most times, and they are like some graphic nightmare on the putting surface.

Prices too high, worth repeating :)

Nice post - I do think however that wgt's reply was asking you to cut your wrists and bleed in the shark tank of the wgt forums knowing full well you'll get eaten alive and wgt intentionally withholding any sort of reply to any of your questions.

why does wgt not just reply honestly and say.......sorry.........we're not gunna do any of that, feel free to lob this up to the community for fun and laughs.

In terms of the 'shot clock' - I have no problem with 90 seconds.  It's not like you have to use all of it.  However there are times when the load is slow and you want to look from a view angles that would make it necessary.  Plus you can set the clock yourself when you set up a game and not play if you only want a 30 second clock.

I would like to see the balls last a little longer but that is an income source for WGT so that isn't going to happen.  I couldn't care less about how the age of the avatar appears, there are enough 50 year old men who parade as 21 year old women on the site so as long as we have a few color choices in terms of avatars I'm fine.

I don't see how continuous putting will save time and it would be an option, you don't always want to putt out............not sure how the programmers could even handle this, I like the alt shot and match play ability to concede putts and holes, that speeds up play.

I would like to cut down the disconnect wait from 5 minutes down to 3 minutes, that is more than enough time to reboot and come back online.

I agree 90 sec is a long time ,, but I too like to use the forward/reverse views, sometimes twice to be sure, and as stated if screen loads slow ur SOL. 50 sec is way plenty for me even on double ck. 30 as stated is totally to fast and causes mistakes.

I work for a Company with billions in assets. Their primary goal is purchasing other companies that seem to be struggling, but have great $$ potential. After a short period of time, if they do not produce the expected $$, they are dismantled and gone. This is done with no regard to employees, or the current customers. With this said, any suggestion or recommendation for improving WGT, must have an immediate $$ benefit to WGT. If it doesn't, it is drug on to make the players on here believe it is being looked into, or just totally ignored. Just like any other company in the US. The investors and stock holders want a big return. We try to envision WGT being a game, it is a business. The bottom line is $$$$$$$$. A few things are carved in stone here, and will not change. You can play for free(something I did  for about a week when I first started), got hooked on the fun and challenge and started spending real money(I don't have the patience for surveys) and I have never gotten anything free in my life. The meter issues will continue, prices of equipment will continue to increase, players will continue to complain about anything and everything, with little to no resolve. If you take this game so serious that it is life or death, then I understand your problems. I do my share of commenting for sure, however it is just a fun(most of the time) game for me. It gives me a chance to play and chat with some great people all over the world. Whenever I am playing over my head, I know it is coming, The VEMINATOR rarely sleeps, you have to catch that rare moment when it is dozing.

    i like the 90 seconds

most times i don't need half of that...but its nice to be able to take my time if i need too... and i don't mind one bit if a friend needs to also...

i'm in no hurry when i play with friends... and have found.. 90% of the time ..the impatient player's are the rude one's also...so i avoid them

if ya don't like 90 seconds... there is an OPTION to simply set up yer OWN game ..with 60 seconds or 45 seconds..

    speed on.... peace

I like the 90 second option.  I usually play with friends so it gives us time to catch up or make jokes or whatever.  I usually dont take 90 seconds to shoot, but having the choice is nice.  Also as stated previous  sometimes the load time is needed   just to get one off in 90. The choice is there to create games in lower amounts, but if I ever should feel the need to constantly have to speed through a game, I'll then need to then step back and take a hard look at either my caffiene intake or why I play in the first place.

    {c}

I like to stick to either 60 or 90, just for the long putts, occasional slow load and a chance to chat a bit while players aren't in the middle of a swing.

Two suggestions for the OP on pace of play and one for anyone who might not have thought of it

    1) Click start game instead of join game so you can pick the speed and see if the total time (forming game + playing) is much shorter

    2) When playing longer timer games, add the players you play most of their shots quickly as friends, send them a PM saying you appreciate their pace of play, etc.

    3) In multi-player games always watch the shot from whichever cam gives you the best view of your next shot

    {d}

Start a new post suggesting that an Automatic Concede Distance option be added to the Create Game Screen -

It should be an easy programming mod and it would improve revenue per min (no loading of the auto conceded putt means faster game without losing any "ball wear" shots)

Or maybe we need more time on some shots and don't want to play 60s and lower.
