  Two days ago, I made a bet, won the bet, doubled my "bet", "gave" $10 bucks to a good friend and went home.

  Yesterday, I made the same bet, won the bet, doubled my "money" gave $10 to a homeless person and went home!

  Today, I made a bet, won my bet, doubled my money, lost a $10 bill on my way home! 

  What did I start with?

  Don't know the answer myself (can't be bothered working it out).....

  But Officer F is a betting man so on that basis I gonna guess he'll come up with the answer...unless it's a who was on 1st base question ?

  Anyway,..zip up mate, it was a bad premise for a thread..so just acknowledge that and say "YEAH, it cost me more than WGT".....no need to start a pissing contest..there will be no winners I've found .

  Edit :- Just re-read your question and it strikes me as a MENSA question, rather than a Ladbrookes / William Hill question (you trying to score points ? )

  The way the question is phrased, there's no single correct answer, so either rephrase it, or accept any answer from 5$ (minimum) to infiniti (when a $ 10 bill was lost, who says he didn't have 100 k left in his brief case).

  OTOH, the answer could as well be ", or a zygote.

  Don't worry, I'm not writing any of this to offend anyone, just a little harmless fun and ribbing from my end. I in no way mean any disrespect towards David.

  Although I piss like a race horse when I wake up ;-) Speaking of those, if your girlfriend ever starts affectionatly calling you Seabiscuit, be sure to find out what she means by it. It could mean she thinks you have a great and noble heart and that you are a champion. It could also mean you're smaller than most and you always finish first.

  what was the point of doing all this, the balls might be free but looks like you have too much "free" time too.

  ok...so 10 x 18 = 180 balls...not 300.  And if you used decent equipment and balls.....you would have lost far fewer I suspect and actually posted a decent score....which is the idea of the game

  But that would kill the mystery, as then I'd  know she was a liar for sure..:))
