I think the distance of clubs is way more than sufficient for what we need, add in some distance balls and it goes even further.

What I really wish they would start working on is the shot-shaping dots that are shown in the equipments capabilities. The dots are there, start using them. ;-)

I have a feeling that when WGT gets the uneven lies where they want them, draw/fade will just follow suit.

Any new news on the horizon for a Tour Legend Driver in the 290 range?

The R1 turns a number of holes into driver/wedge now and averages over 300 yds easily!! How much more do you want?

To be able to buy it would be nice ;-) 57.3 avg tourlegend but im still not skilled enough to handle the big driver because im not high enough level lmao

Drive for show,  putt for dough is the old adage i believe!!

No point in having a driver that hits way over 300 plus yards, if you cant chip and PUTT to save your life!!

You said that right! Besides, right now the R11s and the G20 drivers with the 4 1/2-5 dot distance balls will keep up with the R1 hitting Callaways anyway. The distance difference is not that big BUT it's hard to hit in the rough-that's what makes it worthwhile.

The only way I would imagine for WGT to bring out a longer driver would be to have a super sonic meter on it that would require a meter ball to make it manageable (not a slow meter either) and every drive would be a risk reward thing where missing the ding puts you in trouble off the tee.

Everyone should take a look at this website.  Gives a great insight into PGA players averages.  If you notice that the Average driving distance on the PGA is just over 285 yards and the top player is just over 306 yards in average distance.

Good point.  Main point is their choice! Hopefully the Pro Shop is properly stocked in due course!

Thats what i was hoping for, a bit more risk & reward on drives, bun instead wgt introduce a SLOWER meter & more forgiving.

You have the same choice for the most part.  Your driving distance is 297 so above the tour average and I am guessing on certain holes if needed you will take something off the driver or hit a 3 wood?

I just don't think we want to get to a point where everyone is bombing the ball of the tee 330 every shot.

Not my point............appreciate your thoughts. Point stands over the pro shop level say 75 ish on once get to the tips! Respectively ask WGT to reconsider the pro shop club stocking above certainly that level!
