Cookies are not affecting the meter ...that is nearly impossible unless you have more than 1 browser window open and are running video ads or getting views for credits.....

Probably so.  But I get video ads, 30 sec ones ffs, on the way into the 1st tee of an AS game.

You know as well as I do that the majority of the issues seen here are on the users end. That includes those who do no maintenance, don't block ads, don't handle cookies correctly, etc, etc.

Do not try and put words in my mouth.  That is NOT what I think.

I have McAfee & SuperAntiSpyware onboard.....which SHOULD allow me to play WGT golf with few issus.  BUT......because of ALL of the ADVERTISERS here on WGT planting COOKIES constantly.....those cookies, EVERY 1, mess up my meter.

the bad news is running a resource hog like McAffee or Norton has more to do with the meter jumping than those cookies do...

the good news is you can use a program like ad block.... or learn something like basic computer skills everyone should know and block the cookies yourself!

go to your internet options and look around until you stumble on a place to block sites, it's there...look in your browser tools, it's there too...or with your firewall.... or with your router...

when the site is busy everyone gets a jumpy meter regardless of what they say...

'm sorry if what you think isn't the truth & prevailing wisdom around here, but can't think for you.

Ever notice how often you apologize?  Oh well....nevermind....you're sorry for saying your sorry so often.

What you think is the prevailing opinion not wisdom.  I choose not to bend over and grab my ankles.

All these "fixes" or "hoops" are mere accomodations for WGTs product.  You're coping with their product by tweaking your computer.  They like that.

    Probably so.

Well, which is it?  Is Bob right, or is PJ right?  You Freddy the fence walker?

Erm....My reply was below a quote from PJ, so who do ya think?

Quiz over:  The answer is PJ!  Cookies probably don't affect the meter.

    Reading comprehension is important.

All I can say is.........I used to have McAfee & SuperAntiSpyware onboard my computer...and STILL had METER PROBLEMS.  But, I removed them both.

I still believe that it's COOKIES that are messing up WGT meters.  And, it's NOT just cookies from WGT advertisers......it's COOKIES from every website you visit...i.e. SPORTS, ENTERTAINMENT, NEWS, etc.....they ALL leave cookies.  Some websites will leave spyware and viruses.

As I mentioned above.....since I added those TWO "free" computer scanning programs....I've had ZERO issues with my WGT meters.  Because, I'm scanning often and get rid of all of the COOKIES.....along with (18) other types of files that need to be deleted....to keep my computer running smoothly.

Nobody here really "believes" that WGT is going to come out and apologize and say, "sorry WGT members for all of or advertiser's cookies & the problems they may be causing your meters".....do you?  And, notice that in order to play WGT golf.....we MUST ALLOW COOKIES.....we can not block them.  WGT's advertisers are planting COOKIES for good reason, you know.

hyena I prefer not to engage you in any way honestly, EVERYONE is aware you are here day and night and this IS your life and confrontation your favorite meal...

My meter is usually fine now, very smooth...but like today, entered a tournament and meter was unplayable now that I am spoiled, saved game after 3 holes, came back 30 minutes later and it was smooth until last hole and it has happened before in a tournament....

so I repeat, if the site is very busy it doesn't matter what you cleaned out, how fast your connection is, what program your running, what programs you shut down, how fast your pc is, how much ram, how good your graphic card is, while having the proper hardware and doing the proper maintenance helps, you will get some bumps...that is everyone except for hyena  who is some sort of godlike computer expert who defies logic ...or a f'n liar!

hope my spelling is correct so you don't have to resort to that nitty move again...
