How can you lose balls in weeds or grass?

  Since I started playing this game again a few days ago, I have lost 27 balls but only three of them have been in water. how the hell can you lose a ball in a bit of long grass or in the weeds? if this was a real course with balls that had cost you money, you wouldn't just leave a ball in a bit of long grass.

  Well i know that i have lost plenty of golf balls in the weed/long grass at a couple courses where i live. It doesnt happen often but it does happen occasionally. You only have so long to look for them as you will begin to slow the speed of play up.
