    purely on a monetary aspect.

why bother even buying or using precision clubs or $5 balls when playing the crapshoot that is UL.

wgt will see it from their own stats that when it comes to uneven lies, expensive balls sales won't match the same sales figures as compared to normal format.

i tried UL quite a few times using $6 balls....then quickly swapped to using cheapos because I didn't see the point of wasting decent balls on it.

wgt is money driven, so it's sales stats that will help decide the destiny of this game more than player opinions.

You call me a whiner? Fine...guilty as charged. And I'm going to keep on calling this game out when I know a shot is total bulls**t..... so either live with it or don't f'king respond!

It's not my imagination that after birdies or better, this game will cause a ball to do something totally off the wall.

Like 2 putting from THREE FEET away from a hole where the conditions are showing a dead flat dead straight track to the hole...but it somehow goes left or right missing even though i nail the dinger and hit it dead straight.

Or the lip outs that have happened so often that its almost comical. I've had lip outs from 2 feet away where the ball goes in the hole dead center but somehow funnels out.. even though I know damn well its rolling far too slow to do that.

Or hitting a 110 ft 9 iron into a 14 mph wind to a hole 102 ft away and having it miraculously fly 130 ft into fescue, or deep rough or out of bounds!

I didn't earn my 67 avg by not knowing how to play, or  by not knowing when a shot i make is doing what it shouldn't be doing based on the conditions!

And as long as I'm using real money to buy these credits...I'll piss and moan as much as I damn well f'king please!!!!!

The main thing is you're having a real life like experience playing this game. We all know we play golf IRL to get pissed off and have a terrible day, not to relax and enjoy a silly game with friends. . Sounds like you're getting your moneys worth. ;-)

Oh BTW, you might want to look past the starter irons and wedges. They're the clubs that put us on the green.  Upgraded driver is fun but it's those irons and wedges that put the ball inside of birdie range.

    +1 Cerino!

There is no 100% precision in the material, nor in the game. Alas, the Starters and Beginner clubs are certainly of a distinct im-precision and un-reliability, leaving a noticable margin of misses.

@Giant: I take it that part of your success (67 average) is the usage of three wedges as it is frequently proposed. You'd show your class in public if you could explain to us the advantage of playing with a Beginners SW + a SWING SW. <wg>

I was bogey free at -2 under at Congressional when I came to the Par 5.....hit it dead straight on the dinger with a 9mph wind blowing towards the hole and it miraculously somehow goes left into the rough. I decide to play it safe and go, not One, but 2 more clubs to get over the water, figuring I'd rather be too far than too short....use the full meter length..nail it on the dinger again and it ends up short in the water!

And I did this with rented R11's not my starter clubs....so please....stop trying to tell me it's me and that the game isn't rigged to f**k up a players score, because there is no logical reason for my ball ending up left in the rough..... when i hit it dead straight, with the wind at my back...and then short in the water, when I used more than enough club to get over it!

Nothing safe about bringing the water into play in the first place. Layup short for a simple wedge to a birdie. That's how you play safe.

The starter putter which you are using has one dot of precision. That means it might or might not go where you aim when you hit the ding.

As for R11 irons coming up short: a 3-iron (or at least a long iron) out of the rough might roll a good distance, but it's never going to carry very far. The starter irons do have a high trajectory and might fly somewhere near the stated distance, but the L32 R11 irons are med/high.
