The thing is, I look at the un-natural flat lies the same way they look at the Uneven lies. We both think the other is ridiculous. With that in mind, that's why I want my voice heard as much as they want to be heard.

I agree with you about the current normal gameplay, it is ridiculous. It wasn't as ridiculous a couple of years ago where the limitations of the clubs and ball meant more thought had to go into the game. I'd like to see the game return to somewhere near what it was back then.

The real balance is where it always is, in the middle. I've also contacted WGT directly with my observations based on lot's of practice as well as sending a statistical recap of our Tough It Out UL Tourney results directly to Chad. We showed what the GIR and average distance to the pins where using UL across all tiers.  Ranting about everything that's wrong isn't my style. I like sending real numbers to WGT directly.

Good on you, my apologies for wrongly assuming you  weren't doing anything to help out other than offer up a view through rose tinted specs :) Can I ask, are you getting any feedback from them other than the "thanks for that" response?

My own viewpoint on making the game tougher would be a combination of UL and the use of faster meter speeds and a reduced ding area when in rough, bunkers etc. The more severe the lie the faster the swing meter and smaller the ding area. This would mean that it becomes increasingly harder to hit a perfect shot and any error would be penalised accodingly.

I like to play where the game looks like real golf play. As I'm writing this I'm playing St A in UL with my L83 G20's and the free ball. It's amazing how real it looks to have to hit some run up shots instead of the darts. WGT doesn't have to change much of anything for me. I've chosen to play with this equipment because it has limitations that produce real looking shots. Even just trying to play with the free ball and R11's will speed the meter up a ton and make it pretty hard to ding along with the UL. Try  it for fun. I'm only -2 through 9 on 3 missed putts because I missed the ding. Having a blast. :-)

Your second post of this nature, if you are so good why don't you play the man.

    Cause he isn't really, hehe.

It's like, you know, when, you know, people, you know, have nothing smart to say, you know, but, you know, they still want to say something, you know. Kind of like the reply I just wrote, you know. ;-)

"Never look down on anyone unless you’re helping them up"

I learned that^ from Peter. Rather nice quote actually. If he isn't into the UL, it's all good.

no disrespect to anyone - this post was about summat completey different and we end up arguing about uls

all I was saying - and I don't rekon em.

What I would say - is remember when u started this game - putting was hard, but you could hit the ball straight if u dinged it - try explaining ULs to the beginner - I guess they won't last long.   IMO

As the UL is now it's not perfect but it's at least representative of the ground as it actually is. You guys know that if you play RSG the fairway lies would be brutal to negotiate IRL

No its does not....I have played a lot of links golf over here in Ireland & the UL in WGT, particularly on RSG, is completely unrealistic to the real game.  UL is fun here once you don't take it seriously & realise that it just represents a different mode to play virtually.  To have UL for the US Open on WGT would be a farce.....totally agree with tiffer

I did. And I admit the first line was a very poor joke, written without thinking. But I thought the continuation was rather funny. Didn't really mean to offend you (and I apologize for that), but I didn't find posting sleeping noises to be all that constructive, no matter what the original theme of this thread was. Not all discussions need to end on the topic they started with (same as in real life) and I can't find anything wrong with this topic deviation.

P.S.: I was only trying to be funny with my 1st post. Perhaps you were trying the same with your "ZZZZZZZZZZZZZ". Perhaps we both failed.

Great advice. I can only hope that Buggyyy thanked you for every time you helped him up lately.

But the advice really is great. Just tough to follow all the time for most of us.

Just want to make sure you know, I found that quote on Peter's profile page. It isn't a quote I had on hand.

As to Buggy, Oh Snap on me.;-)
