  of course it is a price as you don't have to pay any money at all to get it as you can win the credits for free in the game, therefore can get the hat etc. for free by playing a game. I'd say that's a price.

  This hat cost 120 clams, bucks greenbacks whatever. (120,000wgt credits). I'm no Steven Hawking, but don't 120,000 credits translate into &120.00? Am I missing something here? Besides a hat?

  This should go without saying, but: please do not spend $120 on this hat.

  You should, however, play the game of WGT. Once you are good enough, you can earn the fictional currency called "credits" we give for performing well. You can turn in this fictional currency for prizes, like this hat.

  If WGT was in the business of selling hats, WGT would go out of business.
