    courteneyfish:

Ok, back on subject. You have 4 friends, your country club has one member and you're the rudest man on WGT. Could that have something to do with it?

    1) 4 friends? Try glasses?

    2) CC W/1 member; very exclusive, not for You!

    3) Rude? Thank-you; you could not handle how "rude" I could be!

    4) Now back on subject, do you have anything "positive" to contribute to this post?

David...............Just curious.  But, WHERE did that "6 MILLION MEMBERS" figure come from???

IF you look at WGT MEMBERs......by TIER.  You can do an ESTIMATE of total members......as ALL members should be listed by TIER. Just go to the top of this page where it says "WGT MEMBERS"....but, you have to dig a bit.  There are 50 members per page...so, with some tiers, you have to look at the count by "alphabetic" letter....to get all those in a tier from A thru Z.

For example:  Looking at the TOUR LEGENDS......I counted 259.  LEGENDS....I counted just under 3,000 total.  I realize there are considerably more members in the other TIERs.......but, my "best guess" is.......IF you go by this WGT MEMBERS listing, is there are LESS than 200,000 members....max.  But, there's no telling how many accounts are "inactive or have been abandoned".  It's my experience on here...that WGT does not delete ANY account.  IF a member just stops playing, WGT leaves the account "as is".  SO, if from time to time, you invite a member to be a "friend" and you never hear back...that could be WHY.

Well, yes, from a MARKETING stand point........IF I owned WGT, I'd like everyone to THINK there are 6 million members.  Though, I know that "Advertisers" mostly go by "unique visits" per month before the consider advertising on a site like WGT.  But, still, I could log in and off of WGT several times a day and clear my COOKIES several times a day.....which, would throw off that figure for "unique visits".

I just personally believe that the number of members here on WGT is VERY exaggerated to say the least............just my opinion though.

    Bob

    Dear David,

When you ask a question on a forum and you get answers that you disagree with, it's sometimes a good idea to take them on board for the future. I'd have played you before the insults and bad mouthing. I wonder how many people will now.

From WGT ads, I realize, just as you, its an "exaggerative" figure of current members!

I just used 6mil for this post, from WGT's statements!

Your estimate of 200,000 "active" members probably is more accurate!

    Thank-you for your reply:)

I can't understand how it matters. 6 million or 147,381 what's the difference? Getting a multi-player game is hard because so many players want to be the one to set up a game instead of joining one. At that rate, there's nobody left to play with if we all are waiting for some one else to join our game.

So thats why WGTstaff are so keen on us CLEARING OUR CACHE every time we log on..lol

Furthermore and personally I see no issue with multi accounting, if it supports the game and the company it can only be good.

You must be in the minority here.  You wouldn't mind then If there was an all tier tournament for a free holiday and free rounds at Meirion Golf Club.  I decide to create new account, boost up to buy new clubs (with a few ranked rounds slowly getting better until I'm a tour pro) then tee off in tournament with my normal game from pro tees and win tournament with 51 beating your 57 into 2nd place. I'll tell Icon that it was a lucky round, and go on a free holiday where you're left at home pi55ed that a pro swiped the holiday out of your grasp.

    Who plays for free??

     I do.

Me too. Over a year and I've yet to reach in the wallet. I amass more credits per week than I use in GB's. Perhaps some of us are TL's at getting free credits?  lol

I've accumulated more credits than many could dream of, yes I havn't had to use a credit card for 2 or 3 years but every time I spend $5.50 on a pack of balls my credits DONT STAY THE SAME the get deducted by 550 credits which are 550 credits extra I have to make up If i wanted to buy something from Elite collection so it IS COSTING ME SOMETHING.  if you all think credits are free, or as you say amass more credits a week than you use in balls why wont you play me for 2000 credits if they dont cost anything or worthless?????  ...........................we'll see how you feel when these "worthless" credits suddenly disappear/

I found this in different post about surveys

    CerinoDevoti:
No complaints on my part re: surveys. If I earn less than 200 credits a day it's a bad day or I just didn't try hard enough.

If you call wasting time slaving away filling in surveys for credits "playing for free" it makes It difficult to comprehend.  Basically your taking your own time filing in surveys and then get paid a few credits for doing it.  to me this Is like me working a few hours, getting paid and using that money to buy credits from WGT.  you are using time you could be playing golf having to take time out to do something you dont really want to be doing just to earn enough to spend on this game.  It might feel like free, but having to do something with your time other than playing golf to "earn" credits sounds like work to me.

Whats better, earning $2 playing GOLF and having fun, or earning $2 filling in a survey for 20 mins.???  Which one seems more free???

Back to the 6 million customers.  Its all false, as was mentioned earlier, i bet 3/4 have opened up an account & either quit for good or opened a new account in a new name.  I bet less than 1 in 10 of the 6 million are currently active on a daily or weekly basis.

Sorry bud, but your argument or perception of reality is a little lost, when was the last time a pro won a big tournament, all I ever see is TL and L at the top of the the big tournaments.

Yes they may grab a few RG's but how many till they are moved up, 3 or 4 maybe and again look at the 1000 credit rg' presently, there are plenty of level 90 p and tp, but not 1 has placed in a profit in 2 weeks. Seems like a gigantic investment for very little return.

So I say go try out your theory in the the next big tourny, my guess it will be a TL on top again.

Perceived advantage vs reality, 2 different things here and WGT is laughing all the way to the bank based on perception.

Did I mention any pro?  No I said what If I restarted a new account.  No one else, but myself, a player who could easily score better than 52 from pro tees. So If you were actually 1st in a tournament for big prize (got a lucky round) and i come along in last minute and knock you off top with a 51.  Do you think? "well done Mr pro you managed to beat the system" or are you angry that a cheat stole the prize from you.

If i was a CHEAT, maybe I might, but I'm honest.  But if i could do It, I guarantee you I would have a much better chance in wining than any tour legend.  Give me any tour legend you could think of who might actually beat me when I'm playing on pro tees and they're from legend tees.  If I entered stevenharkins 10k tournament, I would rather play 15 tour legends from easy pro tees with them on black.  Who wouldn't.  And I'm not just talking about pro's,  Even masters** have a HUGE advantage tee wise over legends.  Give me a re-started account and let me play for $40 a few times until i'm back at legend, i guarantee you I would have amassed hundreds of $$ from HONEST players until I reached legend

** thats If a GOOD tour legend had restarted to master

Put It easier, would you play me for $20 If I was playing from Pro tees and you stuck on legend tees?? Thats REALITY

@ Chris( too much to quote from above)

Most times I spend my lunch hour at work doing some surveys so I'm not trading playing time for survey time. I also have no great desire to play 10 games a day. I'm just not that immersed in the game.

2000 credits to play you?. Come on man, you have much more experience and game prowess than I do. It would be a foolish business decision to play against you under those conditions. I do know my limitations. I'd try a Starter Club and Ball Uneven Lie round with you though. Are you willing to play for no credits?
