I don't believe a shots end result is "predetermined".  I do however believe that the deviation calculation is.  I personally don't have an issue with some deviation or variance.  But, it is my firm view that the settings have been and are too extreme.  Extreme results are too big.

I tend to agree with this by Ecka.

But here is something to provoke your thoughts. As we are in Beta, are we not in testing mode? And if so, like all "trials" we are the guinea pigs/rats. Has anyone ever seen what extremes they are put through?

Lol, true, but I believe the question from the OP was "When is the shot's outcome determined?" And it has been answered that it's when you click.

I have something of interest to add. I was playing in a CTTH at Cabo, hit a beauty right at the pin on one hole and got the beating heart. So you would think the computer knows by now that the ball is going close? Well no - the ball landed plum on the top of the flagstick and pinged over the back of the green into the crap.

So in this instance, the flight and roll had all been calculated by the computer, yet it did not know that the flagstick would get in the way. So this aspect at least is not calculated as soon as the shot is struck.

Yesterday I was playing a CC tourney on Olympic Front 9, in those 9 holes I crashed 24 times, (yes I counted) now I have an intermittent internet connection but it appears a lot more intermittent when playng WGT.

However, that's not my point, my point is this, on one shot on one hole I crashed 4 times, and each time I crashed before my PC had relayed the shot to the WGT server so when I came back I was back to the same shot, which was nice as I had just accidentally seriously sliced it. So second chance, I hit it again, this time I clicked earlier, and got EXACTLY the same slice and the game crashed again! Re-loaded and again the shot hadn't registered so I had another go, clicked even earlier, and, yes you've guessed it, EXACTLY the same slice. Now once OK, I'm getting old blah blah, but FOUR times with EXACTLY the same slice?

Of course I cannot prove any of this as I was as mad as a March hare smoking crack through a bottle of Tequila, and recording it all was the least of my concerns.

i'm not superstitious, but what has happened to you is very very strange, ChJ. and could have some technical explanation. in my case, last night something very inexplicably happened to me. at 9H course, i had distance to putt 13 ft (calculated dist)- 5 times (5 holes) in row -.  many missed shots, with each club, all night. did i say, i'm not superstitious?

You will get the heartbeat no matter how far you end up from the pin if you hit the flagstick.
