I'm planning on canceling the "5th Annual 12 Days of Christmas" this year because of WGT's inaction. Why should I gather the troops and pour money into the WGT coffers when they won't do something as simple as push a couple of keystrokes and elevate Andy to the honored position that he so rightly deserves.

Sorry, I could not find where Wayne said this, but here are my thoughts, which I would have preferred to keep out of this thread, so aplogies in advance Rich.

The inaction from the "the higher up's" over some sort of commemoration bears on contempt for someone who gave the WGT community so much. Disgraceful sums it up for me.

Respect is earned, and Andyson earned this in spades. Conversely WGT have no respect from me on this issue.

As a supporter of the 12 days of Christmas for the years this has run, I will not be supporting the event this year purely out of principle,

It is a great event and yes it will hurt some people, but the true beneficiaries are WGT themselves. Yes they throw in a day, but this costs them nothing and is a terrific return on what the players gift.

When Sham posted in this thread, I thought it was an outrageous reply and was the final straw. It was way to little and way too late......nearly an after thought trying to appease the peasants. As usual they missed the mark.

Unfortunately there is nothing there ^^^ that can be argued with.

WGT have shot themselves in the foot over this.

"But, but, we started a tribute thread"

Patronising to the point of being contemptuous.

I consider their lack of empathy and don't care attitude to be disrespectful and rude .. We aren't asking for much at all...

The most impactful action taken yet . So damn unfortunate . Hopefully it won't get to that point .

The ball is in their court .

Hope springs eternal, but if common decency and the will of the people doesn't motivate them...doubt much will.

Although I haven't previously replied, I have been closely following the various threads on this matter with great interest.  More than once I have written a rather snarly, ungentlemanly letter to WGT, but have thought it best to hold my peace and see what developes.

But I can hold it no more - as much as it pains me to say Wayne, I was about to send you a PM suggesting just this when I read your post.

And Alan, again I wish I felt differently, but I don't....afraid I agree with you 10000%

Feel my blood starting to boil again, best I step away from the keyboard before I write that note to WGT

"If it turns out that none of " THOSE " voices are of significance. That might be a game changer . "

Paul; exactly what will change? Donald Trump or Warren Buffett moving bank accounts to a competitor may be a game changer for the bank. This aint that.

WGT is a business and we are a source of revenue to them....period. FMagnets could quit playing and I doubt wgt would lose much sleep. They will never give a chit about what we say or think.
