    mrcaddie:

    Hey SW,

    WGTShamWow:
Based on some past experiences and most players that will participate in the tournament not knowing who Andyson was, it doesn't seem like a fitting way to really pay tribute to who he was.

So you're saying WGT won't profit enough on his death?

    WGTShamWow:
    We did start a thread

Oh, you started a thread?! Oh shite I'm sorry, you started a thread for Andy! You guys never start new threads. I stand corrected, what an incredible memorial to Andy from WGT by starting a new thread for him. Maybe it got lost in the other 3,4 or 5 other threads started by the community members honoring Andy before you started yours. If I missed it I apologize.

Let me ask you something SW....why would it only take days/weeks to honor Leo (Philber), as CT has mentioned, and take months to honor Andy?

Both Philber and Andy have been my friends for years and I'd like to know what the difference is.

It's interesting that I'm writing this to someone named "Sham."

    MC

    @MC

The only difference was the "will" to do it for Leo...apparently lacking for Andyson.

It's a flick of a damn toggle switch. I'm thinking the "higher ups" have much bigger fish to fry, than to be involved in something this simple and reasonable.

I wasn't a close friend of Andyson...knew him from the forum, and by reading the many posts where he was helping people. He clearly did a lot for the membership (much like Scott Hope, yourself, and a few others). It's disheartening that we have to battle so hard to convince wgt to honor his memory with a modicum of decency...even when it costs them not a penny.

    IM WITH YOU MRCADDIE !!!!!!!!!

They just ignore me as of late ,  I have sent 3 different messages to 2 different Mods in the last week and I have got no response ,  These messages were about Andyson about either a tournament or the 19th hole , I offered to collect and donate money to the purse ( for a memorial tournament )  I nominated him for the 19th hole , They said in a thread that they passed along that information ,  I tried to contact the person who does that , And again I got nothing . I think he will get the accolade , its just a matter of time .  They might be hesitant because they don't want to open a door for the future , In other words , If they do it for Andyson  they will have to do it for everyone ,,  But that's not true .

Good for Mrcaddie for standing up for the right thing ,  I'm with you !!

A millionaire bachelor  goes to his club to play golf with two friends. Not knowing who would be joining them, they walk to the first tee.

As they finish teeing off, a tall, beautiful, raven-haired woman asks if she can join them. Although the bachelor thinks this is going to slow down their play, he agrees. The woman tees up a ball and, without a practice swing, smacks it straight down the middle.

This goes on all day and she finishes even par for the round, beating all the men.

They invite her back the next week. They have a great time, and she shoots the same score. The bachelor thinks to himself, "This is the girl of my dreams!" So he asks her out on a date. They go out, find they have much in common, and have a great evening.

They make another golf date, during which she shoots two-under and gives a clinic in shotmaking.

The millionaire is now convinced that they are meant to be together. He invites her back to his apartment, where they talk for hours. Everything is progressing smoothly, so he invites her to his bedroom. Their passions run riot, but she doesn't let things go too far and he drives her home.

This pattern continues for a month: Great golf, great dates, but nights of abbreviated passion. The bachelor can't take it any more.

"I know the time we spent on the golf course and in my apartment is wonderful. And even though we haven't been fully intimate, I know that I love you, you love me, and that you are the girl I want to marry!"

"Darling," she says, "I have something to tell you. I can not hide it anymore. I am a man!"

His mouth drops open, his face turns red, he begins to shake. She's convinced he's going to have a heart attack, or worse, when finally, in a blind rage, he shouts,

"And all this time you've been playing from the red tees?"

Do something "outrageous", like publicly naming a cheat with proof, thus breaking their precious T&C's...they sure won't ignore you then.

You are right to say Tour Champ would not be for everyone. This was made very clear when lobbying for Andyson to be made one. WGT wouldn't even have to worry about criteria...the membership will certainly let them know who should be included.

WGT should adopt this, and use it in place of that laughable community spotlight.

ps: I fully understand Caddie's frustration. But, I am a bit concerned that his cancelling the Xmas charity would only hurt those it was designed to help; while not stinging the wgt bottom line enough to matter.

That said, I have no better options. We are fighting city hall, it seems.

I agree 150% with MC. I have not played this game for a long long time or spent a single cent. If this is all we mean to them then let the Xmas go away. We have made WGT a good bit of money over the years. You get back what you put into it. I knew a few years back it was getting to big and the greed would show it's ugly face. Have I said enough? I think so.

    We can't give up sir.

We have something that all of us believe in.

    It's a good thing.

    It's a correct thing.

    We can't give up.

I was never friends with Andyson, whatever "friends" here in this virtual morass means. However he made me laugh out loud with his WGT Enquirer posts and he was fiercely logical, almost but not quite, as fierce as YankeeJim :-)

I miss his incisive wit. I miss the fact that I have a little bit less reason to read these forums. I miss the fact that he was part of a stalwart community that suffered no fools but were insanely generous with their time and wallets.

    Goshdarnit!

Let's give him a good sendoff!

    Let's just do it.

    Let's Be Honest.
