My names Andy, l'm 46 next month. Originally from Kent in the UK, the south east of the country. Divorced with two daughters 21 & 19. After my divorce in 1996 l moved to Cornwall on the west coast of the UK where i worked for Southwest water for 15 years, all together just over 20 years in the water industry, working with sewage, yes every ones crap.
A qualified scuba instructor after visiting Thailand in 2007 and learning to dive. Continued to dive on my return to the UK, a job l would have loved to have made a living doing. While living in Cornwall l also learnt to surf, another passion of mine.
Almost 2 years ago l was offered a very healthy voluntary redundancy package and decided to move to the South of France, just outside Carcassonne, a couple of hours drive from Spain and the Pyrannes mountains, a stunning view in the winter when their covered in snow.
Now work in viticulture, basically l work in a vineyard not far from me, do everything from harvesting, pruning and absolutely loving it, the weather is great, lifestyle, a decision l have no regrets doing. Learning the language from a lovely lady l met a year ago, and things are looking up.
At present l'm recovering from back surgery after having 6 screws inserted in my spine a month ago, now on three month recovery with time on my hands, so most days are spent on here.
