Well said young lady. Glad you told us about yourself and maybe got this started again. Never hurts to tell people who you are. Sounds like you have a great Dad.

    Hi Winner!

I have the best dad. He always looks after me and keeps me safe. And he loves me! Which is totally incredible.

We climbed out an upstairs window and then up on the roof.

Dad's not happy but I understand why. I did something stupid. And he had to leave work to come home at like a zillion miles an hour to take me to hospital.

SIX weeks in this cast! That is like forever. Poopie!

I also hope some other people share their information. This is such an incredible opportunity to understand each other.

Stated playing wgt over a year ago when I was told I couldn't play real golf anymore due to a work injury. Since then I have had my shoulder replaced and am recovering .Wgt  has given me a place to play a game I loved and to meet new people from all walks of life.

Have moved from a major city to a small rural town in the North of Ontario and as of today have 3ft of snow.

Thank you all In the WGT Family for great games and loads of fun.

Hi all.  My name is Katrina.  I'm 25 years old.  I live in So. Cal, USA.  Play real golf and love this game.  I've met many wonderful members since joining in May.

As for me and my life ... I never really got to know my dad.  He left me and my mom when I was 3.  My mom did her best trying to raise me while cleaning houses and managing 2 other jobs.  I was a "turnkey" kid until 14, then we moved in with my uncle.  My mom was diagnosed with liver cancer when I was 13, and for about 6 months, she trudged along until the pain got too much for her.  She died a little more than 10 years ago.  There isn't a day that goes by that I don't miss her, even after all these years.

I was a troubled kid at that time.  Right after my mom died, Child Protective Services came to the house and told my uncle if I didn't straighten up my act, they would take me away.  So he told me that I need to make a decision ... straighten up my "act" or go into foster care.  I chose to straighten up.  It wasn't easy, but he fought to keep me.  He got me into golf and martial arts, and I did my best to start making good marks in school.

Today, I consider that to have been the turning point in my life.  I am grateful to have such a wonderful uncle and the mentors that hopped on my bandwagon along the way.  I'm now among the gainfully employed, own a house and 3 wonderful dogs.  I don't really want to get married and start a family at this point in my life.  But who knows ... maybe some day.

To those of you that I have made friends with, and to those of you I've yet to meet, I truly hope the very best for each and every one of you!  This is truly a great site!

    Kat ♥

Awesome you guys and gals. This is what it is all about. We actually get to know a little bit about one another and hopefully use the compassion and understanding that was born into us, not the hate and opinions that were taught to some. Great to know you all.
