    PaulTon:

Anyway thanks for listening (?) I'll come back tomorrow with a more positive post.

My pal Graham died peacefully on Tuesday 21st January 2014. Goodbye my friend.

Oh Paul, that is just so heart-breaking. I hope that Graham's family have people like you around them that care for and love them.

I just emailed Father Dadswell and asked him to offer up Mass tomorrow morning for your friend. I know that lots of people think that's stupid but I don't.

I hope that you are also ok Paul. It's horrible to lose a friend, and you have lost so many!

    Please be safe!

My heart is with you Paul. I lost my best friend in 1999, just a few hours after we played our usual Sunday morning 18. He was 10 years younger than me and I still don't understand why he was taken. Not for me to understand I guess. You may have read in another post, I still have his 83 Chevy pickup. We were totally different people, he was a California beach boy and I was a Pennsylvania mountain hillbilly. He was transferred to Atlanta and bought a house across the street from me. He was way too old to be single but that was his choice. I was married with 3 kids. After 3 months of seeing him standing in his driveway drinking beer, had never introduced himself at all. I walked over and asked him if he was gay. I had never seen a woman at his house. He went into a rage and wanted to kick my ass. That's when the friendship started. My kids thought he was Uncle Dave, he spent every minute he could with my family, went to Pennsylvania with us for 3 weddings, became a brother not a friend. Some of you may find this hard to believe but he was the last friend I have had. I am close to my family and do everything with them. I cannot lose another friend. Hearing your story about losing so many just rips me apart. I am thinking of you and sharing your pain. Stay strong my friend, you must believe he is in a better place and you will see each other again.

Well ladies and gents, My name is snowy64 or geoff. I  am 69 years old I do not think I have had a remarkable life. I got no exams at school, mind just went blank in exams. I left school at 17 and became a trainee engineer but hated it so left and went into ten pin bowling mangement, i left when the craze for bowling died down. The one thing in my life has  been my love of driving so I then embarked on a driving carrear and drove London buses then coaches became a chauffeur and finally a van driver going all over the British Isles. I married at 22 did not have any children but had fun trying for them. my wife became ill had  severe leg ulcers eventually getting to the stage where she could not walk and I had to do everything for her. She died in 1999 it still feels like yesterday. now its me and my two dogs both Staffordshire Bull Terriers.

I started playing golf at 10 and did well at it infact when I was 16 two gentlemen, a Peter Allis and Harry Weatman wanted to take me and train me to be a professional but my dad said no way so  that was that. I gave up playing for real when I had to look after the wife full time and  then discovered this game. I love it but ain't no good at  it but who cares I don't. I now suffer from Angina asthma and am diabetic. I smoke roll ups don't drink or do drugs,  have owned many cars  the first being a Austin 7 my latest is a Jaguar stype.

As I said not a remarkable life.
