    Esoteric - That is me. By nature. My Father was a rather poor Kansas farm boy who got into Oklahoma State University on a scholarship, worked two jobs there and slept in his VW bus for a while, earned degrees in engineering and animal husbandry. While there, he met my Mother who was from a prominent Tulsa family. He was successful at once and has grown to a position of wealth. He is 66, still works 12 hour days because he knows of nothing else. He became widowed last December. I have three older brothers and an older sister. My Father helped us all. Upon each of us reaching 18 years of age, his gift was $500,000 along with his serious advice to manage it well because he would never give another penny. Being the baby of the family, I was able to barter for a bit more because of inflation. He is kind, honest, fair and generous, and his justice the most inflexible I have ever known. We lived very nice but not anything lavish or showy...somewhat frugal in truth. I started playing golf at age 7 tagging along with my 3 older brothers...they hated it, I loved it, and it made me tough. By 11, because of their influence, I was smoking cigars while playing...and gambling ;-} Those were wonderful days and it helped to belong to a private CC, playing everyday. I was a fatty 'til around age 14 then slowly became shapely.

    I have a law degree from USC but have no intention of taking the bar exam...no interest, in fact I don't even know where my diploma is; it was obtained to satisfy the wishes of my parents. I have also done some special study in Charlottesville at the U of V regarding Thomas Jefferson, at Monticello, and in Paris tracing his steps there.

    I will be 27 on January 1st and my sister Melissa will be 39 on the same day...she was a bicentennial baby. I am single, I like men by nature but as yet, romance has yet to bloom. My desires and attractions in that arena are as yet un-equal to anything I see in the arena. Honesty, faith, kindness, diligence, integrity, humor, and being a true gentleman are must have basic requirements. Too much to ask ? No; again, requirements. Oh, I am not a prude. As most people do or have done, so have I. In younger times I've smoked weed, been sock-eyed drunk, tried coke, meth, mushrooms, X, been in the sack few times out of curiousity, but otherwise....I'm a boring bookwormish loner. Incidently, the picture of me was taken on my 21st birthday. I am a blonde but I had just dyed my hair dark. In the red solo cup is 151 rum, diet Pepsi & lime. It was taken at a party for my Sis & me attended by about 100 guests. It was the only singular photo taken of me at the strike of midnight 1-1-09.  Happy New Year ! Then.

    I turned 18 in '06 and immediately invested heavy in gold bullion, along with Apple & Google. A short time later I went with Facebook and have added others. I rely upon my own instincts; never the advice of stockjobbers or anyone of that ilk. I have done quite well. I follow simple basic accounting formula..assets-liabilites=capital.

    My interests are history: because it is the only indicater of the true, natural, repeating behavior of the human being. It is impossible to predict where things might go without knowing where things have been.

    I also enjoy my time with astronomy. I have much gear to enjoy it with. I have a 1997 Celestron 9.25 Ultima Schmidt-Cassegrain that is perfect for me. I prefer to set up at Joshua Tree because it is super dark, super dry and super comfortable in the middle of the night.

    And I play alot of golf; about 3 or 4 times per week....and I play here every day ! ;-}

    And so, I'm tired of talking about me. All I must do now is see if I have the sand to push the post button.....Lily

    Hi Lily and welcome to the "LBH" club!

    It sounds to me like you've always had a plan and followed through with it regardless.  And will most likely continue to do so.  No "ring-in-your-nose" for a female is refreshing and (in my experience) a rarity.

    Through all my years of interaction with males, your requirements aren't too much to ask but you're looking for the proverbial needle.  He is out there.  The hardest part will be finding one who knows your 4 "titles"...woman, lady, female and human being.  This comes from respect.

    Back in the mid to late '90's, I had a job that bounced me around the Joshua Tree area...from Lone Pine to Blythe...from Catalina to Redlands.  Played as much golf as I could find on my weekends.  Where do you normally play?  Carry a HC?

    Fantastic post Lily, so glad to know more about you. I meet all of your requirements and then some, but I am way too old for you, and Lorelei isn't ready to throw me to the curb yet. At least as far as I know. History is and always has been my favorite interest. Sounds like you have made a plan and you are working your plan. Well done young lady. Again so glad to hear your story. Friends always here.

    Even Jesus doesn't fit your criteria for a man, unless the Son of God was an unknown master of the knock-knock joke.  Needless to say, I fall short on the "true gentleman" front because I firmly believe that good guys finish last.

    Any chance you wear glasses?  :D

    You have some real people on her Mr. WGT2. So many of us are such great virtual friends and many of us have actually talked to each other. I want to thank you all at WGT for giving me the opportunity to make friends with so many people from all over the world. I don't always agree with some things about the game, but that is so trivial. I love the game with my friends and this is my little escape from the day to day grind. Well done and may we continue to have this little venue to let loose

    I've followed this post many times since it arrived. I guess  it's time to fess up.  I found this game by accident in Feb 2011.on a cold miserable Manitoba winter day. I played a bit and thought.... wtf ??  this is stupid. Came back in a week or so and got a few pars.... OK  it's fun now  ;).

    The rest is history, but I have made some very close friends here. I play a lot more than I should, but the friends make it all seem OK. I am in the process of selling a business I have had for 19 + years and looking forward to a little free time . My 59th birthday comes on Sept. 22/14  , so a new Camaro would be appreciated ( black please) Hehe. I would give the shirt off my back or the shoes off my feet to a total stranger, if I thought they needed them more than me. I take chit from nobody and call a spade a spade always. I would fight anyone instantly if I witnessed them hitting a woman or a child. My family consists of 3 great kids ..two daughters 39 and 37 and my son at 18. My son has just left the nest for the University of Manitoba, so life is different here. I got married @ 19 and again @ 37.

    I know I fkd up on paragraphs...... but  chit happens.   ;)

    I must offer my thruthful thankfulness for the comments. Of course, as everyone knows, Rich (Renni) and Francois (Frapp) are throughbreds in the art of human kindness...wgt treasures. And Mr. Spy #88 is likewise a gracious wordsmith who asked a couple of questions. My current HDCP is at 6-7, it has been lower, but unlikely to go there again :-{

    I live in the Sand Canyon area of Santa Clarita, Calif. Within the city we have choices. Closest to me is Robinson Ranch, 36 holes, the Mountain Course & the Desert layout. Both tough, excellent condition. And then we have TPC Valencia, which is 18 holes, likewise demanding, and in superb condition. Along with these two we have Vista Valencia which provides an 18 hole executive layout of difficult 3s & 4s at par 61. It is partnered with "Chica", a challange of nine par 3s. I play all of them from time to time. I play most often at Valencia CC. I started there, hold membership and love and know it. It is a 1967 Trent Jones jr layout than can brace any swing or talent. It is where Tiger Woods suffered his first play-off loss as a pro in the LA Open, I think. It played host to the "old goats" in the Toshiba for a spell and Gary McCord claimed there was not a finer conditioned golf course anywhere nor better greens...considering the vast number of golf courses he has announced at, I would consider his words as quite a compliment...he should know...Also, I sometimes go elsewhere. My "pop" has a place at the Vintage Club in Indian Wells CA, so I go down there from time to time. The "Skins Game" was once played there back in the day. He has a property in Tulsa I go to at times and he belongs to Tulsa CC which is an old Tillinghast track that is top notch and a blast to play. While there, I play at Southern Hills CC, and sometimes trek a little north and play Prairie Dunes in Kansas.

    Well Mr. Stroke, I had laser treatment to 20/15 vision, which greatly enhances seeing on the golf course, but at times require the aide of reading glasses.

    Jesus was pretty stupendous. Considering he never wrote a book, never drew any pictures, never played music; and yet there is nobody, not one mind you, in the history of our world that has more books, paintings or songs written about them...ever. The Holy Ghost is my best friend.

    I also thank you Michael, and say that I read your postings, enjoy them, and hope they continue. :-}     ~ SP ~
