    Hi Sweetie,

Thank you for your response to my questions!  Congrats on the single digit HC...wtg!  Thinking we may have played a same course, I must admit I never made it to Santa Clarita area.  Nearest courses I played were Lake Elizabeth and Rancho Vista to the north and Westlake to the SW (and others further out).

As for your night scoping...why do you not go to Magic Mountain for it?  Much closer then Joshua Tree.  Still too much surrounding light or is it just the ambience of JT?  Just wondering...

    Thank You...I played Lake Liz, thought I was going too eat it alive...I was the food...it had been very dry weather and the greens were harder than Chinese arithmetic...I enjoyed the beating :-}

It seems clear that you know this neck of the woods quite well -- Gr00vy ! Magic Mountain is close, but it is a thrill-ride wonder... but Mt. Pinos is an hour away and at an elevation of almost 9,000 ft, it offers perhaps the best astronomy seeing in Calif. but it is way too cold for me to pretend any enjoyment. Bone chilling and uncomfortable. Joshua is for me. I can easily resolve the entire Messier catalog there...except of course, all of those that are available only from the southern hemisphere...all on my "want to do" list....Lily

    Just me

    Hi everyone

You all know me, sometimes I'm a bit mad, sometimes I'm grumpy, and sometimes I do weird things. I just want to say some stuff, ok? And please, if you don't agree with this, don't be ugly.

I was at confession this morning and I asked Father if I can confess for the sins of all the stupid horrible people that say and do such awful things in the world.

He told me that I can't, but that what I can do is live my life as a good Christian person and pray for them.

I said, but that won't make the bad stuff magically disappear, and he said, no, but it will make other people who know you, think before acting.

So here's who I am and I know that I'm naive and stuff but I don't care.

    1. I'm Catholic and I love going to Mass.
    2. I love my family and I will do anything to protect them.
    3. I own a gun because I'm female, 1.52 meters tall and karate only works in movies, and I go to the shooting range every 2 weeks, and I can strip and re-assemble my pistol in less than 8 seconds.
    4. I can hit a target 15 meters away and have a 6 shot grouping of less than 5 cm diameter. I'm proud of that.
    5. I believe that you should always go for centre mass first, followed by a head shot if the person hasn't dropped.
    6. I respect and honour the USA military because they have been keeping all of us safe for years and years. Yes, all of us, everywhere in the world.
    7. I believe that Good will triumph over evil because evil is all about breaking things down.
    8. I believe that morality and ethics beat everything else.
    9. I'm a virgin because I think it's right to be one until I'm married. I also own a tee shirt that says Make The Stupid People Shut Up.
    10. I believe in reading as much as possible about everything so that I am more informed about what's going on.
    11. I realise that I am privileged because I have had a good education but I also realise that I have a bursary at university because I worked very hard to get very good marks, and that was recognised and rewarded.
    12. Every weekend I work at the homeless shelter, teaching people to read and write because I believe that if you have an education you CAN make a difference.
    13. Even though I live in a country that has an awful history, I cannot abide racism and bigotry.
    14. I don't have many friends, but I don't mind because the few friends I have care about the same things as me.
    15. I don't believe in fairies.

Miffy, you truly are a remarkable person and I'm honored to be included as your friend.

If I ever get a chance to meet you in person, I'll have to remember to approach with caution, stay at least 50 meters away until I've identified myself and you've recognized me!   ;)

Thank you, that's very nice of you to say that.

You know what's really remarkable though? I met you through a tournament arranged by a PLAYER at WGT, in the forums to honour renniw52. It was called The Squirrel Interspecies Invitational thingy and I was drawn to play against you. And we've been friends ever since.

That's why I love WGT. There are so many wonderful people here. And I have the privilege of having a lot of them on my friends list.

    Hey Miffy,

You do indeed sound like a remarkable person. I've only known you for a very shot time, but I'm very glad to have met you. The "Wooden Tee CC" is lucky to have someone like you to represent them. You are a keeper......
