Let the saga continue. My original thread was who I am. Times have changed since then and things have gotten much rougher for me. I am still what I was and am fighting harder every day to remain so. I have never pretended to be more than what I am  and never will. I have very little left to dream about, but I will remain honest and true to my friends on WGT. Like I said, I have neither the strength or desire to fight or bicker about any issues. You all try to be nice and have fun with this game and your friends. If this thread ends now, I am grateful to have gotten to know a little about some of you. Only you know if you were honest or not. Either way. thank you for your additions to this thread. For those who have seen this in a different vein, that is all good. I guess Honesty can be seen in many different ways. That's what makes us individuals and open to whatever ridicule we get.

I have been watching this chit unfold for several days now, since my phone is on auto message with posts. There is nothing to discuss here. The thread was started by a caring individual who wanted to find out a little about players here and their lives. Period.

I did my post many months ago keeping the focus of the thread in mind. Apparently that focus has been blurred by the hijackers who have nothing better to do than fk up a legitimate and interesting post. Shame on you Aholes for coming in here with total BS posts trying to derail a worthwhile attempt by a respected WGT member to build an interesting page for all to view and enjoy.

No response to this would be good.....and maybe the thread will return to its original venue.

Best wishes Rich in what you have done here....and what you are going through now.      R

I have never felt the need to expose the WGT membership with "my story", and you should be glad.

For those of you who did make entries, on point,  I congratulate you for caring to inform WGT members of your story and or situation.

It is a good read for whatever reason, and should not be contaminated by those who are bored, inept, or otherwise unable to stay within the boundaries of the original intent of this entry.

I would think that there are many other threads here that NEED to be contaminated.  Find them and do your best.  My Nickle.

My name is Colin, I am a Mil veteran...spent 33 years serving my country and supporting its values. Started as a Private and retired as a Major. Lost my parents young, lost a lot of good soldiers under my command...and a lot of friends...when they were even younger.  Been married 32 years...2 kids that I missed growing up because of deployments, and 2 grand-kids who I will miss growing up because they live far away...I try to treat people with respect and expect the same in return...really my only motto. If attacked, I will defend. The government spent a lot of money over the years to train me to do just that. I vote conservative, have empathy for the under-privileged, and give to worthwhile charities....I love dogs. Gave up a heavy drinking issue about a month ago...so far, so good. Even lost 5 pounds...:)  I'm loyal to my friends and truthful to everyone.

PS:  .... along with some others, I have also been accused of hi-jacking this thread, although that certainly was not my intent...but, apparently intent has nothing to do with it....according to the pious and self righteous, if something is not said in the way they deem it  should be said , it's hi-jacking. The alleged hi-jacker then gets verbally abused, lectured, disrespected and minimized. Boy, that sure sucks.....Wish I was that pure..!

Looks like I didn't manage to stop replies to this post - and now glad I didn't! Nice to finally 'meet' you ct! I love dogs too - 3 crazy whippets that keep me sane/happy in equal measure. The much better half, of 32 years (where does the time go), walks them twice a day - just wish they would stop trying to kill rabbits! Can anyone ignore that look you get from a whippet lol. Oh, and I passed the big 50 two weeks ago - that's been slightly disconcerting! I remember my dad at 50 - he was properly grown up and mature - I still think and act (too often) like a big kid! Strange times - but generally good ones. Best to all.

ct - I can be extremely vocal and opinionated, just never felt like this was the right thread for that kind of thing. It's nice sometimes to just sit back and meet other people, warts and all. Enjoyed your brief bio, and good luck with the drinking, tough one that!
