My computer is running great and my internet connection is strong.. I'm playing in one of my CC tournaments at Bethpage and I'm 3 under after 9.. When I get to the 10th my meter starts clicking back to the bar so I let it go.. I draw back to hit the shot again and the meter is smooth right up to the point of impact and once again click click click.. I've got a good round going.. I don't wanna stop.. Well the meter continues to click the screens click as they're coming up on the computer and after 2 more holes I'm at even par.. Shiould I have stopped and saved the round right there.. Shut the computer off and tried again later.. I'd hate to think it has something to do with WGT.. What the ------ is the problem... Thanks for letting me vent..

Hi,Scott, I too have had similar problems, but I assure you it is a local problem. What browser are you using? Obviously try changing browsers if it continues.

I have had a few severe meter jumps recently just as I have hit, resulting in OB's and nothing more frustrating but here are a few tips.

Clear browser cache and flash caches. Also look at your processes while playing. Many love using Maxthon for WGT and the great thing is it has a CPU meter inbuilt. Options like Tanti Meter are an alternative. If the CPU is higher, wait till it drops. Also Game Booster 3 or the like monitor what processes are being used and have the option to kill them while playing. Obviously you are better off to have no other programs running when playing. Note a dedicated browser  for WGT is reccomended.

One of the most common problems are virus scanners. often running in the background. If you use Norton it will kill your meter (and computer for that matter)but it is possible to put them into game mode usually.

Hope some of this helps smoothe your meter

As Hyena mentioned, a lot of it is to do with what browser bests suits your PC and the dreaded FLASH.  What works for me might not work for you.  Just trial and error until you find right one.  Its funny the amount of hoops we're expected to jump through just to get a smooth meter.  But an older PLUGIN version of flash seems to work wonders.

As my kids PC is in better location in house i tend to use it a lot to play WGT, Its only an old dual core PC, with only 1 gig of RAM, no graphics card or anything like Gamebooster but i can play game perfectly.  I found that Maxthon 3 is much better than chrome to play this game, but I'm sure if i can get a smooth meter with a PC which is LESS than the minimum requirements, there's hope for every one.  Instead of blaming PC, there seems to be more fault with internet traffic/servers than our PC's itself.  I will suddenly notice my meter getting a bit skippy after 3 o'clock when all the local school kids come home and start logging into Facebook.  The only other time my meter might get a bit more choppy is when some one in my house is using their laptop or iphone at same time as I'm playing.

Maxthon doesn't auto update Flash even if you download a different version to your computer, so whatever version of Flash you have with your current version of Maxthon will remain unchanged unless you do one of two things.

#1 Update your Maxthon on newer releases

#2 Back door other versions of Flash into your current Maxthon
