Does anyone have some additional information available for :

The effects on elevation changes ( + & - ) and how it relates to which club you choose for a particular shot.  Shots up to plateaus and down to valleys.

The effects of wind speed and direction and how it relates to which club you choose for a particular shot

Thanks in advance for your assistance.

This has been discussed multiple times - please use the search function ==>

One general rule as an example, no pun intended:  Wind in face, hit longer. You imagine the others.

The measures are widly dependant on clubs (trajectory etc), balls, spin, green speed, no all-in rule available.

An example for uphill shots: The common rule of thumb is one yard more for every 3 feet of elevation. Alas, with Starter clubs, you have to add two clubs or three on serious elevations and choose the seniors' entrance to roll in. G20s and SD balls, not a yard to add for medium elevations - long&high flight and, no spin applied, good roll to even out the shorter flight. G20s and Callies, follow the rule of thumb and allow for serious corrections acc. to spin.

Thus, it's practice & observation (& taking notes if you like) with your own set-up.

    Have fun!

No offence, but your reply makes it appear that you have been put out in some way.

I confess, I was a bit irritated by the naivety of the question, "Tell me all about the game". Where to start, where to end? The variety of past answers would fit best IMHO, available there ==>

Plus, have you read on? I didn't mean and I did not express to turn him down, and I showed him something regarding his question.

Surely he has the right to ask a normal question in forums.

Good Forum etiquette would be  to do a search on your question before posting it. Surely we have the right to point that out prior to giving a response to the poster's question. There is an easy way to find the answer and then an easier way to by asking it once again.

Better forum etiquette is to move on if you do not wish to respond, rather then bash the guy for asking a question to increase the post count.

The 1/3 rule will work close enough in most situations.

Pardon me Sir, I certainly do not mean to bash you, but me thinks that my answer was more helpful than yours, mainly because the latter has no mentioning of wind influence ;)
