i do have the atv wedges (all 3) in my shed. i did try them for a few days. guess im just so used to how the ball reacts with the satin that i found the atvs to be 'alien'. not that theres anything wrong with the atvs (apart from the price tag). i also have the r11s irons in the same shed for the same reason that im so used to the burners and its yardages. anyways the satin 64 i find rolls out on pitches (13y) predictably. on flops they stay where they land at full bs. punches are predictable too for basically from 20-41y. full shots are also predictable, even in 30mph tailwinds.

guess im going for the consistency factor lol.

not knocking the atvs but for a 1/3 of the price the satin wins in my book.

i would never sell my satin 64 - that and my rossa :)

The two best buys I ever made on this site by miles.

    SPINO1:

To those that still think that the satin is the best wedge ....have you  tried the atv 50yrd ??

if you have and still think the satin is better, let us know why please

First I don't think the Z-satin 64 degree is the best wedge. That is why my main 64 degree is the 64 degree Cleveland. But I still have my Z-Satin 64 degree which I use as my 4th wedge at times. And yes I tried the ATV's and they were just not as consistent as the Cleveland, the Z-Satins or the Ping W's. All three of those are much more consistent. Also the ATV's are way over priced for their effectiveness.

Sure, kick a guy when he is down.  ;)

I sold the club because I bought the upgrade, never thinking once that the new ATV would be a far inferior club.

I tried the ATV, and the old z satin was far superior for one reason- consistency.  If I dinged a shot with the old club, I knew exactly where the ball would land.

I have traded messages with MANY players who will tell you that the z satin 64 is the most reliable club in their bag.

Whatever code was written for that cyberclub was rock solid.

I certainly was not trying to kick you while you are down trey :)

I just did not think many players would sell the club back because wgt gives you such a crummy exchange rate.

Personally i prefer the atv because i find that i hole out pitches with higher regularity than the z satin. But i do see that some players prefer the z satin (the bollox included).

It's a shame you don't like the atv.. Maybe if you gave it another try you would begin to like it more.

If there was a way i could give you my z satin wedge i would gladly do it (and you could save the 2000 credits).

I sold mine when I planned not to return.. was gone when I came back so I had to buy the 2 ATVs... not bad .. but I find the AT(All Terrain) are crap from sand.. I would put full backspin from 15% sand and the Satin would stop the ball. The ATV from that lie gives you easily a 10 yds roll. If you use less power then you hit the fringe or rough and again either you are stuck or the ball rolls... After about 3 or 4 months I still miss the Satin when I am on the sand... in other shots the ATV is nearly similar, but sometimes inconsistent. Worse is I sometimes use a tad of topspin to get an extra yard and instead the ball rolls back another yard after landing, someting it doesn't do with no spin.... at least for me the Satin seemed cheaper and better, or to put it another way...  more predictable.
