That is EXACTLY what this game should involve! If more people held this belief, the game would be more fun. Way to tell 'em, Renni!

    WGTicon:

    hi

there is usually an explanation for each putt.

I would keep the following in mind:

    1. slope, where the downhill or uphill happens.

2, remember the holes where putts play extra short or long or break more/less

by keeping notes, you will become much more consistent.

Icon, good on you for commenting.

No.1 I agree with.  It is logical and if you dig into the info available it can be explained.

But No. 2 is just plain shoddy.  If the interface isn't, can't and won't give any clue then the code is wrong.

The thing the pro's scream most about, and the PGA is pedantic on, is green consistency.  Two identical breaks should behave the same unless your number 1 point is involved.  That is not and never has been the case with WGT greens.  It is poor code and it bewilders me that after years it isn't fixed.

The vem / deviation does not allow for consistancy . This is what makes the game a challenge , so says WGT. This is what makes the game so frustrating for many players. No matter what we do as players, the game alters it , and gives us different results. Until a reasonable ans sensible application is made, WGT will continue too lose players every day. Happy Swinging

when shots or putts don't turn out the way you thought they should......just get over it and move on.

    it's only a game.

And as WGTicon mentions it is not readily apparent on some holes somewhat more or less shot strength is required and keeping notes, written or by memory, is a good idea.
