there is usually an explanation for each putt.
I would keep the following in mind:
1. slope, where the downhill or uphill happens.
2, remember the holes where putts play extra short or long or break more/less
by keeping notes, you will become much more consistent.

No.1 I agree with. It is logical and if you dig into the info available it can be explained.
But No. 2 is just plain shoddy. If the interface isn't, can't and won't give any clue then the code is wrong.
The thing the pro's scream most about, and the PGA is pedantic on, is green consistency. Two identical breaks should behave the same unless your number 1 point is involved. That is not and never has been the case with WGT greens. It is poor code and it bewilders me that after years it isn't fixed.
