Nice in put! Pardonme, but you've obviously mistaken me for someone who gives a damn - about the in put on golf discussion

You obviously don't give a damn about the spelling of input either ;-)

But jokes aside, I would like to say something to WGT!

A user of your website has repeatedly expressed his dissatisfaction with your business model and the way you choose to run your pro shop. I demand you grant his requests immediately! He deserves it, after all, he's been beating this horse for so long, the poor beast had probably been processed into my beef lasagna by now (a Euro only thing, I suppose). I hope you get right on this and fix it ASAP!

And while you're at it (and generously granting requests), I've been neglecting my black panther (in my pic) whenever I play, so I promised him a surprise to redeem myself. I told him it'll be a wild one, so if you could please ship WGTWildcat to the adress, listed in my contact info. Thank you in advance.

P.S.: Puholino (my cat's name) has been fixed, so no need to worry.

    suncity28:

How it is and is quite simple really.

Player 1 uses Rap driver hits 265.

    Player 2 uses R1 driver hits 310.

Both players hit there 2nd shot to 15ft.

Player 1 is a good putter (makes his putt)

Player 2 is not a good putter (misses his putt)

(Overall) a few yards of the tee is not going to make much of difference if you cant putt to save your life.

This line is the fallacy to your post (no offense). Player 2 missed his approach, but since he was so much closer for his shot, his result is comparable to player 1.

Facts are facts. Longer drives = shorter irons on approach. Shorter irons aren't called "scoring" clubs for no reason. Accordingly, shorter approaches SHOULD mean shorter birdie putts.

Mathematically the R1 driver is worth less than a stroke per round, but I'd take it. Does that mean I can't compete with my R11s? No. But, with the parity in this game now, more often than not, the difference between winning & losing is a single stroke.

    Advantage R1.

O ya i agree 100% there is no reason anyone cant compete,, the driver is not what wins the game, its all about your skill on the greens if u cant putt you are screwed,, don't understand why people think like that,,,, hiting fairways an greens is the easy part,,, but getting the ball in the hole is not lol......

Since Allen is right, everyone who agrees with him should equip starter clubs because distance is not important.
