NEW L98 Driver

  I am not too bothered about that driver............L98 on WGT is maybe years off for me.......away from what I can or cant get though it's usually better to play with equipment as good as someone else...assuming all other things equal.........and away from that I think WGT need to address the balance.  Personally dropping the R11s to say Level 90 would have done that..............IMO they are squeezing the life out of the R11 too much..........No one saying the R11 bad but the R11s is better and too many levels away for many that can make use of it..............Most that say it dont make a difference have the best their level allows...Interesting?

  Yes, its called nothing else better to do with credits. And some players think these new drivers will improve there game. I think once a player has reached a point in which they can hole putts, and never make a bogey, new drivers at this level are useless. That driver at level 98 is not going to lower scores by the top players, there PUTTERS do.

  I have the R11s, and would shoot same scores with the regular R11.

  Well i won't be finding out any time soon LOL.  Also you have a good point but the overall balance is wrong.  The R11s should be L90 IMO......Of course agree more to golf than being able to drive farther than anyone else, but in a world where there is more to it:)........................The fineries of the game I will leave to better minds than mine LOL.  As Ben Crenshaw once said  “I was about five inches from becoming an outstanding golfer – that’s the distance between my left ear and my right one.”

  Well I will comment on this...the Rll's driver saves me maybe one shot every,  Mmm 12 / 13 holes..so extrapolate... It makes a massive difference in forgiveness alone and not only that ..the added confidence in my mind is invaluable...so maybe more ?

  I was on L88 and some when they moved it to L94 and was vociferous in my objection to the unfairness of established Legends having an edge on me (a newbie at the time)..so after many posts the question was put to Chad and the response was "we have no plans to change ......" so ok, fair enough, you crack on or....f^%k off.

  I decided to stay but I know others that took the other option......It is still grossely unfair that all clubs are not open to Legend + tier..whatever your level !!!

  You said caps last resort to flimsy??????????????????? If you were agreeing with me whole heartedly I got it wrong........................caps I was just worried might look rude and never want to come across that way!

  I think we would all agree one incremental step up is not going to be night and day difference...........Your point though is interesting as to the difference you found!  For my part I begrudgingly (through impatience and an urge to spend credits) upgraded from the G20 to the R11.  My scores have gone the right way rapidly for whatever scientific or otherwise reason.............I know I most likely end up jumping at the R11 irons / R11s or whatever is then available to gain even more in all likely hood................whether the difference is as marked (for whatever the real reason) I won't know til then............ But the difference in my average score since i replaced the G20 with the R11 is very real.  Basically I was stuck at around 64.9 / 65.11 but in no time as it stands I am 64.59 is ............how much of that is mind v equipment don't really know but since the purchase 1 to 2 shots a round difference has made it well worth it.  IF the R11 irons / R11s make approaching that difference again that's massive in my book!    

   

  On the rest of it Andy you seem to go even farther than me in thinking WGT need to sort their act out..............I can't say I could strongly disagree with but a nudge in a better direction would be better than what we have!

  Like most people do, we all want the best and latest equipment.

  But I ain't goona waste any energy fretting about this driver as I am so far away from it  - 2/3rds of L96 and all of flevel 97 before I can get it.

  I cannot believe the negative comments in this thread.  Wgt brings in something new and what some people do is to bag Wgt.  Wgt doesn't bring in anything new and what do some people do..... Bag Em. My Goodness, they can't win....lol

  I just purchased the Driver, and I've been hanging out for something to buy that can be better than the clubs I already have.

  I've just played 1 game with it and it looks pretty good. Maybe not so good with a tailwind, but as it has a lower trajectory than the R11(s) with a headwind it looks like it's the club to have.

  I have to test it out with an opponent to truely see the difference, but my first thought is,  it's fantastic.

  I think Wgt has got it correct with this one..... I've been hinting in the forums, once we reach a certain level there is nothing left to purchase... now we have the L98, that's great...  Lets see a level 100 something to get from the Pro-Shop. As most the long time players are getting close to that mark too

  As we go through the levels we upgrade to better clubs...  From the R11...to the R11(s) and now the R1.  This depends on how we use these clubs too when I'm saying better clubs.
