With the current system in place, where equipment becomes available at a certain level, there is no way to please everyone. Level 98 does seem a bit high for new equipment to be introduced but i really don't have a problem with it.

Other than to make WGT more money I would love to know of one good reason why this club is needed by any of the top players?

They might  make money in the lower levels, not sure about the L98 though.

One answer to the other part of your question.....    It's a new toy to play with.....lol

With the recent club releases....  they were made for lower Tier/Level players.  The L98 the top players can use it.

Maybe with the extra distance the club can generate, we might see lower scores.... not sure if that's good or bad......lol

The scores are beyond a joke now, this game is only a short step away from TWO. The more advanced and better the clubs get, the greater the boredom factor.

Im 96 tour legend and whether or not i'd buy the new driver isn't the problem, level 98 for any club is too high, level 94 maybe 95 for the r1 and bring the r11's driver down to what they originally introduced it as back down to 90.but to state it's open in principal to hacks at 98 is a problem, level 98 maybe for lower tier players, but how can you say legends and tour legends such as myself can't buy certain clubs or drivers when im playing off the back tee's.now i see why there's still plenty of 90+ tour pro's still knocking about, the sanbaggers must have the right idea here.

I agree 100% with this.   I've banged on enough in these forums about long hitting, high precision clubs needing to have low forgiveness and fast meters.  What do we get?  A driver that hits longer than anything else and comes with a Get out of rough free card.

Obviously I'll get one when I can, I'd be daft not to.

I still think it's a mistake to sell it though.

Well, I would have liked to rush out and buy one, ANYTHING to spend my credits on, but no, Looks like I'll have to wait a couple of years (as I dont bother with the daily play bonus any more) and by the time i do reach level 98, there will be even better clubs at level 100 any way.  Oh, wait a minute, I could purchase the xp boosts at $60 a pop.

A better way and make MUCH MORE $$ would be to keep it at level 98 for all other tiers, but once you're a tour legend, you have access to EVERYTHING IMMEDIATELY.  A reward for reaching tour legend, because at present it seems a HINDRANCE.  I used to be able to play matchplay challenge all day long, but now once some one sees a tour legend you get bumped out of the game regardless.

**Yes, i always like something new to purchase, and good on WGT for releasing stuff, but I'm just frustrated that It will take so long to actually buy it.

..the added confidence in my mind is invaluable...so maybe more ?

Maybe WGT need to include this as a stat for clubs : )   You're right about the R11s, I can hardly remember the last time I missed a fairway with it.  I've had many Oh s**t! moments where I've clicked way early or late but old Uncle Forgiveness has a word with the ball and everything gets sorted out.  And now his big brother is here too?   Rough?  What's that then?

It is still grossely unfair that all clubs are not open to Legend + tier..whatever your level !!!

Absolutely.  And not just because I can't yet get this driver!    I think there should be one of each type of club, iron set, driver etc. that is only available to tour legends though.  Incentive to tier up is always good.  Selling items to players depending on level just encourages sandbagging.

I must admit, I do agree with this too. The better the clubs and not forgetting golf balls the lower the score... if your at a level to do so.

I'm at the stage I am still having fun, but I do know what your saying aswell.

Not sure about you or anybody else tiffer...  but, I don't use any aids..such as calculators, putter pals, wind calculators, strips of paper stuck on the screen.... Just my brain which is getting older now...lol.  I'm still punching my fist in enjoyment for breaking 30/60 and that's where the enjoyment is. The only cheat I have is a can of Jim  Beam... my radar doesn't kick in until the 5th can....lol

The slower meter is good for my slow brain waves to my trigger finger and any new clubs that can make my game better is great :)

Don't get it ...... It will mess up your game ....... it's too long off the tee.

Every single one of my 2nd shots is now going too far and finishing up over the green.
