Has anybody figured out how to stop a ball on BP # 4. I think I've done it once when I hit short in the rough and it kicked on, still was on back . I know its an easy birdie from the side or off the green in back, but has anybody got a trick for stopping it? This and 16 on Congressional are probably the least eagled par 5s on WGT.

I guess you need the R11's. With my clubs I just head for the middle of the fairway, then go for the eagle.

IF you get a headwind and IF you get the back pin it is possible to land and stay on the green.

Pretty hard to do actually, you have to have the right winds and the pin has to be in the back placement, then, you MIGHT stop it.  Best way I have found to play that hole is to just go for the birdie by laying up the second shot so you have a nice wedge shot into the pin.

Change your ball to Nike. Not a cure all but they have better spin than Callaway's.

I stopped it once on the green by accident. It hit the rough and popped up and just got on the dancefloor.

Risk ------- Reward is too far off balanced to go for green. Take the almost "gimmie" bird and be happy.

fully agree, however it is always nice to try going for it ...just to see.  Actually, if you hit the green, and the shot isn't too hot, it is still a pretty sure birdie from the backside unless you go into the heavy stuff.

You need some luck and the right conditions even with R11's, rather lay up to the right, an easy punch which you might eagle but an almost definite birdie.
